Bad organization and very poor customer service from hostess. Manager just stood theere and did nothing!. Myself and a party of 10 adults and 2 kids went to this location Saturday, 7/12/14 at 8:30pm. Even though we had a reservation; we waited almost 1 hour to be seated. The customer service from the hostess was terrible and the manager with no personality just stood there and did nothing to try to solve it. They were really busy and did not have patience for a large group with kids. Upon arrival, we clearly told them it was 10 adults and 2 kids but when we got to the table, the unpleasant hostess told us very rude that the kids could not be accommodated and that we had to wait until 2 tables next to each other opened. One hour later with a very bad attitude and no sympathy for the long wait, they finally called us and without any apologies, we got seated. This was my first experience at this location and I can tell you that I will avoid returning and will share my story with everyone that I can think off. We spent almost $800 Plus and got the worst service you can imagine. The money was not the issue but I rather spend it somewhere else and not at the Benihana in Coral Springs, FL. The only good thing about this restaurant was our Chef Joshua. He was really pleasant, the food was amazing but overall experience was bad. They should send the manager and the hostess for some customer service training as service is the most important part of a business. Regardless of food quality is the staff does not know how to deal with people………..business eventually will lose $$$ as people like to be treated with respect. Especially when spending so much money.
I went for the first time on 07/05/14 not by choice but my fave Japanese restaurant was closed for the holiday weekend( I still can’t understand why) so we opted to drive literally across the street to Benihanas, it was also my dates first time. We decided not to do the hibachi and not because it did t look entertaining, I was just not feeling my date and wanted to be in and out as soon as possible. So anyways he ordered a mojito and I had a plum wine by far my fave wine… The wine was fantastic I ended up having two glasses. My date said the mojito was great too. I didn’t go for an appetizer because in Japanese cuisine I don’t think their appetizer is very distinguished from there main entrees, it just seems like your eating the same thing and I must add that I’ve only been to two Japanese restaurants so I might be wrong. My entree was volcano shrimp over a bed of mixed vegetables with a side of sushi rice. The food didn’t take long to prepare I don’t think we waited more than 15 mins. The presentation of the food was very nice, my plate had about7 or 8 shrimp lined around the edge of the plate with some greens in the middle and little specs of hot sauce between each shrimp. The shrimp was breaded and fried and it really seemed to be too much batter for shrimps those size.nothing to brag as far as taste it’s fried shrimp … My size of sushi rice I did enjoy. My date ordered a steak dish that came with soup and salad he opted for the misou soup. His steak was chopped into mini bits with a side of seared shrimp and what seem to be a pound of diced onions.. He said he liked it but his face said other wise I don’t eat red meat so I couldn’t judge the taste but the presentation was awfull.. I would give this restaurant a 4 out of 10 stars the server was great, the drinks were amazing, the atmosphere is relaxing and great service time but the food to me was just average even mediocre… There is a spot across the street called Sakura sushi its small but the food is awesome, they have these little cute private boxes that look like seats on a train with a door. They don’t have hibachi but that’s not a must for me if it is for you then Benihanas is the way to go.
Quality and service went down 🙁
Love My Hibachi!. I can’t get enough of this place. The only drawback is some of the cooks and believe me you can tell the great chefs from the good and so-so ones. I have eaten here enough to know who the good ones are. I am very rarely disappointed in their food. I have found that they have cut down on portion size, but still keep the highprices. I’m not necessarily interested in their show-I prefer them cooking quietly and giving me a nice meal.On the whole, I have enjoyed eating here. Like any restaurant it has its ups and down, but for the most part they are very good. There is no other Hibachi Restaurant in my area of Boca that is as good as this one. I love Benihana from NYC and Long Island.
Your paying for the show , food is mediocre at best. Service is confused atmosphere is loud
Overpriced. Must share table with strangers.
Great Lunch specials!. I am a regular at this location and I must say it’s so much better than their competitor Peking Tokyo! the quality of the meats is just so much better and the decoration is a lot classier. The service is always great and so is the food (their fried rice is the best in town). I recommend this place if you are looking for a good food and service.
