Ssbubby. There were six of us dining at the restaurant on 2/15/14. We had a reservation and showed up on time. Seated within 15 minutes of arrival. Our order was taken 15 minutes later. Only beverages ordered were iced tea and that was never refilled unless requested by diner. No salads or soup ordered; and no meals delivered to the table for ONE HOUR AND 15 MINUTES. When we were seated we informed the server that we had tickets for an 8 o’clock show at the City Center and he said that was no problem. When we questioned the progress of the meal we were told that it was being plated. By 7:30, with no meal on the table, we arose to leave as the food was being delivered. We gulped down what we could before we had to leave 10 minutes later. At that point it wouldn’t have mattered if the food had been the best on the planet as we were so time stressed.I don’t know if the waiter was new but he was foolish enough to come back to the table and ask who was to have received the birthday dessert ordered at the time the reservation was made.Upon being seated we presented the server with the coupon we had. When the food was eventually presented we requested the check. He forgot to apply the coupon and had to take the check back.My meal could not be consumed in the time we had so I had it boxed. We had to remind the server that he hadn’t brought it back to the table. The server tried explaining that the kitchen was backed up. I noticed that there were several large parties and that most of the diners had reservations. Shouldn’t the management have made provisions for the amount of diners? At what point should the management have stopped taking reservations if they didn’t have the kitchen staff to timely accommodate the diners?Needless to say we won’t be going back and I hope to share this experience with anyone who asks…
Worst experience I’ve ever had. For the prices they are charging, the service was terrible. Owner/ Chef was horribly rude.
Sunday Buffet. This was by far the worst that we have ever had. The food was not hot it was cold or warm.. The shrimp in the raw bar was tough and small. I think it was previously frozen. The seafood pasta was warm not hot and had more salmon in it than seafood. I had to get my waiter to give me more champagneeach time my glass was empty I had to find him in order to get my glass filled. The same applied with the Bloody Mary. The only thing that was ok not good but ok were the muscles . Service was terrible . We will not be back nor will our freinds.
I have dined here a few times recently due to the two for one featured transaction. The soup is good, which varies by the chefs discretion. I don’t remember the ingredients or which they were, either a red gumbo or red fish soup or a white spicy coconut variation. The music is not good, loud and there is a soundless tv blaring, but it is dark and cool. The salads are great, without exception, if you require salad it is a good value. The fish plates are consistent; never had I elsewise, but my colleague once had rack of lamb. The sweet potato grouper is a must if that sounds good to you, and the several risottoes are meaty, filling and creamy (containing shrimp or lobster or whathaveyou. My great friend despairs that the clams are small, though to me they taste good and the sauce has lemon in it and soaks up bread, as small as the lamb rack. I eat my fill with leftovers or waste. Never had dessert from overeating. A la carte. Full bar. Good overall value, but reasonably costly.
As Advertised. Blue Moon had great food and great service. My wife and I went to celebrate our anniversary and it was very nice. We ended up there on a slow night with very few customers in the restaurant, but that added to the privacy and romanticism of the night. Even though the restaurant was near empty, we were treated with 5-star service. Entrees are big, though expensive, and taste great. I had the Mixed Grill Sampler and my wife had the Salmon. They were both amazing. Our waiter was particularly knowledgeable about each dish.We liked the lobster bisque soup and the Caesar salad for apps. They were reasonably priced along with the deserts ($8). Try the cheese cake, it serves two because it’s so rich. Great experience and we can’t wait to go back.
The salmon was delish. The service was great. The crab claws were misleading. We thought they were jumbo, but they looked like medium. The oysters were slamming, but they weren’t shucked. Overall, it was a great experience.
Very nice presentation of the main course and cooked perfectly. Our service was great and the price was not unreasonable. Having said that, I think $14 for a glass of Santa margarita Pinot grigio is a little steep. I reviewed blue moon so there would be a more up to date review. All in all I was pleasantly surprised. 3 1/2 stars.
