Disappointed. Very friendly staff and nice touches of home. However, the food is awful. We had the pork chops, waffles, grits, eggs, bacon, sausage and pancakes. The pork chops were devoid of seasoning and they were cooked until they resembled rubber. The waffles were underwhelming as was the rest of the food. It is clear that commercial products (i.e. Aunt Jemima, Pillsbury, etc.) are used here. Nothing is homemade. You would do better spending your money at McDonalds’ This place has terrible, terrible, terrible, food.
I don’t get it. I’ve heard great things about this place, but our experience was very poor. Eggs were runny when ordered over-medium (admittedly, a pet peeve) and they forgot my toast. Everything else was edible. Particularly I was excited to try their pancakes, which my mom had raved about: it was nothing special. I would have given them an opportunity to fix things, but no-one ever returned to check on us after we were served.
Great service, good food. Nice neighborhood restaurant. Would definitely go again.
It’s great!. Good food, great portions, reasonable prices. Family-owned and operated. Am here weekly!
Went for brunch on Mother’s Day and we waited for 10 minutes because it was so busy, mind you I’ve never heard of the place before. The food was amazing. So much food for a great price. And to top it of the family-owned home-yness is truly felt. My sister likes tomato sauce with her French fries (odd, I know) but the restaurant doesn’t serve any item with tomatoe sauce, so our server went to the Italian restaurant next door and brought a cup full marinara back to the table without even thinking twice. Absolutely loved the place, definitely going back soon.
