The best falafel platter. Freshfood great flavor!
Small portions. We ordered lamb chop platter and the spinach pie platter. Both were tasty but very disappointed with the portion size. The lamb chops were the size of a half dollar with 3 small potato slices and maybe a cup of salad, no pita bread. (cost-$15.95) The spinach pie was basically a hot pocket with very little spinach and a cuo of salad (8.95). Told owner I was disappointed with the amount of food for the money, but just got a blank stare and an Oh Well attitude. If you want real Greek food that is fairly priced, go to Pita Pan on Oakland Park or Keeses by the Commercial Pier.
Gyromania!. I love this place. I keep going back because the food is great, although it is run like a fast food restaurant, they have REAL plates, REAL flatware and great food choices. I never leave hungry. I even brought my own fresh ocean catch and the manager agreed to cook it up for me! Wow! Imagine that!.
Horrible, bland, mediocre. Seriously, I’d rather go to Subway than this place (and I think Subway is disgusting compared to Publix subs or Laspadas). SKIP THIS PLACE.
The chicken was tender and juicy and the marinade delicious. Tzatziki Sauce yummy. Fresh greek salad with tasty dressing and feta. Fries good too. A+ Portion was generous. Will be back!!14 Feb, 2013Great find! We just ate here for the first time and loved everything we ordered. Freshly made, great portions and fair prices. Can’t ask for more than that! The open kitchen is a bonus and the place seems to be pretty clean. Will be one of our regular eateries for sure!
Great Fast-Casual Greek Spot!. I was really excited to see a ‘fast-casual’ Greek spot open up near my house. The restaurant is bright, clean and modern looking and the staff is quite friendly. We didn’t dine in, I ordered everything to go. Once I placed the order they started the food immediately. After maybe 10 minutes everything was packaged up and I was ready to head home. You can also watch them prepare your food as the kitchen is most ‘open’.Once home we dug in.We started with two appetizers. The Saganaki (Grilled Cheese served with a lemon wedge) and the Greek Fries. Both were great. The Saganaki is always a favorite when I go to a Greek Restaurant and this was just as good as any I’ve had. While it was screaming hot (since it’s about a 10 minute ride home) it was still quite warm to enjoy. Crisp on the outside with a slight chew. The Greek Fries were amazing. Fresh cut fries topped with feta cheese and oregano. The fries were not too heavy as some ‘fresh cut’ fries are and the cheese was fresh.Next on to our platters. The Gyro Platter and Chicken Platter. Both with 2 sides (Greek Salad and Rice). The meat portions for both were quite large and well enough to fill you up with possibly some left over. The Gyro meat was freshly shaved and very tasty. The chicken was nicely seasoned and juicy. The pita triangles were warm and the Tzatziki seemed home-made (it could have used a touch more garlic…but I’m a garlic junkie). The rice was cooked perfectly and seasoned well…I’d get that side again. The salad was fresh and the dressing was served on the side which is exactly the way it should be served. The menu was quite expansive with sandwiches and more platters to chose from with some seafood options.Overall…this was a great meal and we will be going back often. foodiefrog.com
Close to Yai Yai’s cooking! Yum!. This unassuming little restaurant is nestled in a neighborhood with no shortage of fast-casual eateries yet distinguishes itself by serving specialties like Dolmades (stuffed grape leaves), Fried Squid, Souvlaki, Steak, Shrimp, Salmon, Lamb Chops, and of course Gyros. The bursting pita-wrapped sandwiches come in 11 varieties. There are 13 different platters served with your choice of 2 sides (Greek salad, Lemon Potatoes, Fries, or Rice), Spanakopita (spinach pie) and one of my favorites; Moussaka. Gyromania also serves salads, burgers, homemade desserts, beer, wine, and gourmet coffee. Needless to say, their menu has something to please every palate. I highly recommend this little joint…yum! Tell ’em Fork Notes sent ya!
