OUR HIBACHI FOREVER!. Nick got it wrong. Maybe an off or slow day but hey Nick, sure you can find hibachi down in Miami. Izumo has the best hibachi in Coral Springs. We’ve tried others but keep going back to Izumo and are never disappointed except when they run out of sea bass sometimes. Never thought the chicken or steak tasted bad or funny. We always get plenty of vegetables and the noodles are always perfect. The staff has always been wonderful toward us. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, maybe the furnishings and decor aren’t up to par with upscale Miami restaurants but that’s one of the reasons we like it so much. We don’t need to pay extra for fancy decor, we just want great food and that is what we get every time we go. Definitely better than Benihana and Peking Tokyo. Izumo is our hibachi place forever!

Lunch. I give one star for places I know I would never go back to even if I had friends that invited me, and this is one of those places. Based on the other positive reviews 4 of us decided to try it for lunch. Not one person in our group had anything good to say and the one that suggested we try the place even apologized for it afterwards.AtmosphereWe went on a Thursday during peak lunch time and we were the only customers the entire time. The waitress was lying on an empty bench on the phone most of the time. The atmosphere was drab; there was old masking tape with numbers on the wall of each booth, presumably from the old restaurant. There were pictures of the food with numbers next to them like you see in Chinese carry out on the main dining room wall. They had two of the oldest TVs hanging from the ceilings – they need to just get rid of the TVs and the pictures of the food and spruce the place up a bit. Food:Well strange enough, you won’t get hibachi at the hibachi grill for lunch; they don’t do it – so forget it. They will let you order from the hibachi menu but it is the same exact price as the dinner (17 – 24 dollars) they just cook it in the back and not on the hibachi table. We decided we would just order from the limited lunch menu instead. Between the four of us we had some chicken, noodles, steak, rice, sushi and salad. The chicken tasted like it was frozen and was tasteless and dry, the noodles were mushy from being over-cooked, there were supposed to be vegetables in the meal but we got about 2 slices of zucchini and nothing else, the sushi was warm and not what I would consider good sushi, the guests that had the steak just keep saying it tasted weird. Of course we left most of the food un-eaten. We would have said something to the waitress but I guess she had more important things to do like rest in the booth on the phone. Verdict:I don’t understand the good reviews at all. I can easily say this place is not good and certainly not the best hibachi or sushi, it wasn’t even close to being average. I am not even sure they were trying. The food reminded me of mall courtyard food except not as good. You won’t see us back there and judging from the lack of a lunch crowd I think others must feel the same. If they are going to open for lunch they need to do it 100%, it needs quality and attention if not they will lose 100% of customers that step in to try them for lunch and find the same experience and low quality of food that we did

Best Hibachi. Izumo has the best hibachi i’ve ever had. Hibachi is only around $20 for an entire meal with soup, salad, hibachi noodles, rice, etc.
