Happy herald review. When you imagine a restaurant in Italy, you think of a quaint indoors, with wooden tables and chairs, outdoor dining areas with umbrellas, fountains, smell the aromas of a wood burning oven cooking pizzas and other delicious foods and hear your favorite Italian songs being sung. Well its not your imagination anymore, La Fontana Pizzeria & Restaurant in Coral Springs has brought those visions of Italy to life for you to enjoy. Two brothers, Spartaco and Tony Tare came to America after spending 10 years cooking in an Italian wood burning pizzeria in their home town of Ferrara near Bologna Italy. They spent another 10 years bringing the best of their recipes and talents to some of the most notable restaurants in South Beach. A year ago the Italian brothers settled in Coral Springs and opened La Fontana to provide us with only The Best of the Best in Italian Cuisine. With century old recipes, prosciutto, cheese and wines imported from Italy, homemade pastas and sauces, the freshest vegetables, meats, fishes and seafood, homemade gelato and desserts, and an outstanding staff to serve you, this will sure to become your favorite restaurant as it has become mine. The Antipasto Fontana ($14.50) is a great start for any feast, a delicious platter of fresh sliced imported Italian Prosciutto, Bresaola, Mortadella, Salami, Sage Cheese, Gorgonzola Cheese, Mozzarella Bocconcini, thinly sliced Parmesan Cheese, mixed greens, and loaded endive leaves, topped with walnuts and drizzled with a special house sauce. Its not only a colorful mix of natures goodness but a salty array of taste for your senses. Another starter or meal in itself may be the special Focaccia Alla Famiglia, made for special occasions with varying contents and prices. This special focaccia was stuffed with freshly cooked spinach, broccoli rabe, zucchini, goat cheese, sun dried tomatoes, mushrooms and more. Served hot out of the oven, infused with all the flavors you long for. Yours can be stuffed as you wish. For something a little lighter and loaded with flavor try the Pizza (12-$12.50), a thin crust pizza topped with Real Italian Porcini mushrooms, Bresaola, Parmesan cheese, Mozzarella Bocconcini, and fresh greens, make this wood oven pizza all so tasty. Once you try a La Fontana Pizza youll be impressed by the flavor, quality and goodness. Theyre even available using whole wheat and for delivery. For pasta you must have the homemade Sachettini al Tartufo e Salmone ($15.95), these Truffle Sachettini (Pasta shaped like sacks filled with a cheese and truffles mixture) are cooked and covered in a rich cream sauce mixed with smoked salmon and a touch of brandy. This mixture will just melt in your mouth and leave your taste buds in bliss. Another favorite is the Risotto al Mare Monti ($16.95), perfectly cooked risotto (Italian style rice) mixed with tender shrimp and Italian Porcini Mushrooms to make a dish that will bring tears of joy to your eyes. This is a sure hit for the pickiest taste buds. For the seafood lover try the Grigliata di Pesce ($26.95), mixed grilled Salmon, Tuna, Shrimp, Scallops, Calamari and vegetables sprinkled with a secret blend of spices to infuse the flavor of the fresh seafood. A Grigliata di Carne ($23.95) is also available with meat. The desserts are also out of this world, Nutellino ($5.25), Nutella wrapped in pizza dough shaped like a fish and cooked in a wood oven to bring out all the creamy chocolate taste from within. The Tiramisu ($5.25), is light and creamy, lady fingers dipped in espresso and layered with mascarpone cheese make this dessert hard to resist. And if you dare, why not add some of their delicious Homemade Gelato, youll be glad you did.

We have eaten all over Coral Springs we always Visit twice before we post a review we have recently visited La Fontaine Unfortunately we had an extremely rude server when brought up to the manager he stated were very sorry she’s having a bad day On a scale of 1 to 10 food is a six price is decent As both our visits the place was empty and there’s a good reason for that once you meet the server name we can only say her name starts with a good luck Would not recommend eating there.

Wow! Me and my husband just had a wonderful dinner. We arrived, the restaurant was empty, but nonetheless we were served some delicious hot bread right away. We each ordered a pasta dish and it was sooo flavorfull. The owner of the restaurant served us most of the evening and was a true friendly Italian. We are definitely coming back.

Dining Expeience. This restarant come recommended to us as a great local dining experience. We ate there this past Saturday evening, dining at one of the outside tables. We were seated promptly, and immediately had delicious bread at our table. What truly made our evening though was our server, a gentleman by the name of Alan. He was so professional and attentive to all of our needs, and took the time to explain the menu thoroughly to us, as well as make recommendations that proved to be excellent! Our dinner service was prompt, but never for a minute did he make us feel rushed. Thanks to his professionalism, we had a delicious meal and a wonderful evening. The food was excellent and we will definitely return with friends in the near future. It was a great overall experience!

Down Home Charm.. I really enjoy this restaurant. The owners are two brothers who take a lot of pride in all of the dishes they pump out of their small kitchen. With all of the dining tables located outside, it gives this restaurant a unique feel. I have to admit I wish they had some seating inside and maybe a bar to sit at. This issue should rectified itself once they take over and remodeled the old Quiznos right door.I always get the Lobster Ravioli, the house salad with no olives, and the homemade focaccia bread, all to go. I walk in, grab a couple of Miller Lites from their front cooler, and stand at the counter and shoot the $hit with the owners while my meal is being prepared. Just nice guys and so are the servers. I drink my beers, get my food and I’m gone. The house salad comes with a balsamic vinegar based dressing with fresh parm cheese sprinkled on top. No iceberg lettuce here, just nice mix of fresh Italian lettuce. I love the saltiness of the parm with the bitter lettuce and finished with the sourness of the dressing. The meal also comes with homemade focaccia bread. This bread looks like a pita and is shaped like it too, but it doesn’t tastes like pita bread. Does that makes sense…LOL. Their bread is fluffier than a pita and the pesto sauce they drizzle on top takes it to another yummy level. The ravioli is served in a light cream sauce and are F’ing delicious. The nice sized ravioli have a good flavors and are filled with a good portion of lobster. I always add some extra parm cheese on top just because I love it:)Overall, I have NEVER had a bad meal here and I highly recommend it if you don’t mind sitting outside. Or, you can get your food to go like me. Remember to tell them Dan sent you and Stay Hungry!
