This place needs to get a grip on things.. All I can say, I was one of the worst dining experiences I ever had.As this was recommended to me by so called friends, friends don’t let friends recommended and eat this grub.The appetizers were horrible and the food took forever to come out. When the food did come out it was ice cold (I kid you not) and there were only two tables there us and another unfortunate group.We were so dissatisfied with the food, we were not going to attempt desert. Needless to say I tolled my friend to have his taste buds checked by a doctor.Anyway my thoughts, if anyone tells you to try this place think of the work run like in RunyonsAnd run away as fast as you can.
It’s just sad when a great restaurant tanks. It’s like they got lazy or forgot what good food is? The place is dark, old, stale. The filet I had was AWFUL, not because of the prep, but because of the meat that was purchased. I thought my knife would bend. Sadly, 4 other diners in our party with same experience. Don’t wast your time or date night.
Dissapointed,at an old neighborhood restaurant!!. I have patronized Runyons for many years,and found this restaurant in the past years to be an excellent dining expierience,but I must admit that the last couple of times i have been there I have been terribly dissapointed with the service,and the quality of the steaks they charge a hefty price for.A few evenings ago three of us went for dinner,after waiting an hour for our steaks to appear, and poor service as well,I ordered it medium,it came out raw bloody and extremly fatty!!!! My friends complained their steaks were cold,after sending them back and changing their order the prime rib came out cold,when I showed the manager my steak with all the fat and gristle and asked him would he eat this meat he said absolutly not!!!After being totally disgusted with this place we decided to leave for a pizza,they didn’t the have nerve to present us with the check after this disaster.THIS PLACE HAS CERTAINLY HIT THE BOTTOM>>>SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!!
Expensive, but the food is well worth it. The crab cake sandwich is the best I’ve ever had, and I’m from Maryland so that’s saying something! I also love the tomato salad, but be aware that it is literally a big tomato with salad dressing!
Barbara Mugnano. My husband and I have been frequenting Runyons since the 1980’s and are still dining there. We can not say enough about every aspect of this home town restaurant. We have had many of special events there with family and friends, we also would like to thank the owner Jack for making our 25th wedding anniversary dinner party that we had in 2003, with all our family n friends, you made us feal like family, that is just the way the entire staff makes you feel there! Here is to another 25 years!
Happy Hour spot!. Good happy hour spot! Love the food on the happy hour menu, and that they have some live entertainment on the piano. Sometimes when my husband and I have a date night we come here for the happy hour, has a bar that feels like cheers:) Also like to sit outside during happy hour when the weather cools off. Good place!
You WILL be disappointed!. Walk in and expect to be treated like a valued customer that will be spending $100 at this restraint? Not a chance! Owner and greeters are less than hospitable, food is marginal for any price, but VERY poor for the price they are charging. I have tried to get a decent meal there a number of times, expecting that it may have just been an ‘off night’ the last time I was there. Well it is consistently poor, quality, portions and taste. You will be disappointed!
