Can’t get past the snotty service. If the waiter leaves a bad taste in your mouth before even getting your table’s order… the food has to be extraordinary to make up for it… unfortunately, Toojay’s food is only so-so.Won’t be coming back.
Dan I Cook Breakfast Platter. Alright, who goes to a restaurant at 800am and eats a Turkey sandwich with bacon, lettuce, tomato on wheat served with home fries and coffee…..ME:) The restaurant was pretty empty. It was just me and one other table. The place was very clean and my server was Melanie. She was very friendly and had some cool looking blue eyeshadow on. She told me I could get anything on the menu except for the soups. She wasn’t sure if the soups were done yet, but was willing to check with the kitchen. I advised, no soup for me:) I order my sandwich and drank my coffee. The sandwich was perfect ( see pic). The wheat bread was nice and soft almost like it was homemade, maybe it was. The lettuce and bacon were rolled inside the turkey which I thought looked cool. It came with a pickle and coleslaw. The pickle was good. Cold ,salty, and sour just the way I like them (pickle fan here). The coleslaw was ok, but it wasn’t great. The home fries were alittle well done for my taste. The coffee was good. Overall, not to shabby. I like this place. If they only had pancakes (my kids love them) I would probably come more. On a side note, they have some great desserts. The Mounds Cake is to die for. Just like the candy bar it’s filled with coconut and chocolate F’ing delicious. Tell them that Dan sent you and Stay Hungry!
Always want this place to be at least ok. But it never really is. I go there with family sometimes because they like the options. Most food doesn’t taste good and the service is usually extremely spotty. I prefer Denny’s to this place and that’s not saying much.
