Menus are not accurate, orders are not accurate, food is overpriced, most items are upcharged, it’s basic barbecue at the most. I’ve had better at Sonny’s. You want some real barbecue drive to Santa Rosa Beach and check out 98 BBQ on HWY 90, best beef brisket you will ever have and the restaurant is on point.
OMG so so good. Food was out super quick, we have never been so we tried a variety. Husband had the quarter pounded burger it was juicy and delicious, and the potato salad which he said he would come back just for the potato salad. Our daughter (a picky eater) had the chicken fingers and fries I have never seen her eat so much without a fight or cajoling. She LOVED her food. I had the pulled pork and ribs. That was the best pulled pork I have had! So moist and flavorful. The ribs were pork ribs and we’re great juicy fall off the bone deliciousness. I had the fries and mac and cheese as sides the fries were perfectly salted, and fried to perfection crunchy on the outside and soft an delicious on the inside. And the mac and cheese… I have never found a place that has good mac and cheese until now. So good. We were so pleased we decided to get dessert 7 layer chocolate cake and a brownie with ice cream. If we thought the food was good the desserts were awesome! The customer service was great, very personable and helpful. They had the perfect blend of do you need anything else and leave us alone. We plan on going back tomorrow for breakfast. 10/22/16.
Service was fast and friendly. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time, perfect temp and delicious. I had the baked potato with brisket on it and a side of baked beans – awesome and super filling!! My family had pulled pork sandwiches with various sides that they all enjoyed. The meat had a good flavor and wasn’t fatty or greasy like some bbq joints. Will definitely be back for more.
Better… The first few times I had their food it was okay, nothing over the moon.. but I swear everything tastes so much better now that they’ve changed locations. Definitely worth checking out! I was pleasantly surprised! The new place looks great, congrats Hub City!
Missing Earl’s. Too many BBQ’s around. Miss Earl’s with the good seafood, oysters & smoked Mullet. I can BBQ at home.
Called in order while traveling on I-10. Easy to find. Order was ready as we walked in the door. Very clean. Friendly. Had the small pulled pork sandwich. Sauce was excellent–mildly sweet and spicy. Definitely worth the drive past the fast food places on Hwy 85.
