Bad restaurant turned awesome. I used to go there to only play pool and drink. However I recently went there for a convenient meal to check it out and it was redone beautifully. The bar is really nice, they have a great selection of beer, the fish dip was top notch and my Mahi sandwich was really fresh. The FRIES are amazing!!!!!!! I will be coming back here.
Mediocre at best. So disappointed in the meal tonight. We are at a local hotel waiting to leave Fort Lauderdale. All the reviews ranked food and ambience great. I’m convinced all these positive reviews are fake. I’ll not believe them again and settle for poor quality meals at high prices.
Calamari was bland and over cooked. Blacked mahi mahi sandwich was sliced to thin. The broccoli was over cooked but the scallops were delicious. They are just reopened for 3 weeks so maybe they need to work the bugs out. I hope because it was so good before the take over!
RESTAURANT IS UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP. After being closed about one year, the Operators of Historic Downtowner In Fort Lauderdale have completely renovated and reopened the site as Historic Dockers Restaurant and Pub. It reopens on Monday January 19th 2015.
I was in town again and had a great time!!. Just stopped in Dockers Bar & Cafe and totally enjoyed the experience again! … the customers really made me laff!… and the staff didn’t hold back!!!… FUN!… my kinda place…19 Oct, 2012GREAT local place near airport!. While waiting for my flight an airport employee suggested I go to Dockers Bar & Cafe… a mile away from the airport (I had plenty of time to kill so I took the short 5 minute cab ride over there . I spent hours in the place… I had dinner (Dockers shrimp and Blackened dolphin sandwich were excellent as was the service) this is a casual laid back place and I spent time laughing with the staff and locals (who convinced me to play a couple hands of free Texas Holdem’ Poker…. FUN!) also played on there lightning fast WIFI… time went by fast and next time i’m in town i’m sure i’ll go back there!
Living locals, fantastic drinks and a place where THEY RESPECT the locals with Florida seafood and ambience!
