We stopped here on a whim because our oldest daughter was hungry for pizza. We just loved the pizza and ended up going back on our last night of vacation (we usually reserve that for a higher end meal). The pizza sauce has a home made taste and the owner even remembered us!
Pauli’s was a stop on a whim for me after getting off a flight. It was the first pizza place I saw, so I stopped – and I’m glad I did. Pauli’s serves up a delicious pizza, a perfect blend of crispy and doughy crust.
Pauli’s is the best of family owned restaurants. Pizza here is the bomb.Paul himself grates the cheese from a block and makes the BEST crust by hand. Home made sauce tastes like grandma used to make and simmered for hours on the stove. The garlic rolls are to die for. The meatballs clearly hand made and flavorful. Greek salad was delicious. The thing that really hits you is that you are watching what this country is about in action. One guy in charge, wife is the other employee, 1st generation immigrants, succeeding through work ethic that you just don’t see often anymore. It’s a tiny store, with 7 tables that also does delivery and take out, and makes simple but very tasty food by paying attention to what’s important. Real cheese, quality meat, perfect crusts. No industrial, prison stamped cardboard circles with sickly sugary faux sauce here. Pauli’s is the real deal.
