Been here twice – first was a quiet Sunday afternoon and it was great. Apps were really good and my bangers and mash were nicely prepared. No mushy peas as a side but all was perfectly prepared. Id give the Vienna Bistro a small edge for their bangers but all else was on a par. My wife had the drunken chicken and it was fantastic. Really nice flavors and perfectly prepared. Everything tasted fresh. Too stuffed for dessert. Next time was a Sunday as well only not so quiet – apparently it was a friend of the owners birthday and it was rowdy. The live music was way too loud if you were near a speaker. Thankfully they were able to turn it down. We had the beer battered onion rings for an app – excellent beer batter, some of the best weve had. Im not big on the fat onion rings, normally prefer the skinny type, but these were amazing – so sweet and went well with the beer batter. I had the drunken chicken this time and it was great again. My wife had Shepards pie and it was excellent as well. Overall two great meals and some live entertainment fun. Also their starter bread is nice too. Again too stuffed for dessert. Maybe next time, but for sure after tasting the beer batter, I gotta try the fish and chips.
