I love to try new dishes and cuisines, so I landed up here to try the Vietnamese sandwiches. I tried Banh mis and boba tea. Bahn mi refers to the Vietnamese sandwich with freshly cut veggies. I had the marinated tofu bahn mi which had fresh carrots, cucumber and cilantro. It was a light snack and I had two of them. It paired up well with boba tea and Vietnamese coffee.Follow my food journey on Instagram- teekhi_mircheee
Pretty cool little Viet sandwich shop right next to Pho 79.545 Banh Mi Cafe is relatively new and the place itself is impeccable. Being that it is still new, it is practically shiny with their bright lighting and decor. It specializes in, you guessed it, banh mi sandwiches and bubble teas.If you’re not familiar with Banh Mi, it is a Vietnamese sandwich that consists of cured meats, cilantro, and pickled veggies (like radishes or daikons), slathered with mayonnaise and served in french bread. The bread itself is meant to be crusty and really works as a basis for crunch when it comes with the pickled veggies. On the other end of the spectrum, the meats are pretty savory and it just works out well together. They also have a variety of desserts and drinks. The 545 special is a complex combination of items that I cannot recall. It was very sweet and with the crushed ice, there isn’t really much there. They have lots of different shakes and rice cakes as well.Prices are standard and are a bit more expensive that what banh mi’s should be. However, being that this is Miami, you’d be hard pressed to find any other place that would even have banh mi to begin with, so this is your best option…for now. cheatdayeveryday.com
Amazing summer rolls!!! Light enough for an afternoon snack, but full of so much flavor you’ll want more! Also, recently discovered their mung bean paste wrapped in tapioca (to form balls) served in ginger juice topped with coconut cream. Best served cold.YUM!!07/09/16Picked up some of their great Kim Chi today. I like to serve it with tilapia, prepared with Ginger and scallions. Also goes great on it’s own. No Fat and super low in calories.
