  I love fresh fruit stands! We came here to check this place out because we love farmer’s markets and fresh produce and honey. They have a smoothie stand which produces fresh and delicious smoothies. There’s a bunch of honey flavors to choose from. There’s also a variety of jams and jellies. They also sell key lime pies! Full pies and by the slice. They sell key lime taffy candies. When we went in, they were providing free homemade hummus tastings. We were hungry so thankfully there was a sandwich and coffee shop in there. I ordered a wrap with potato chips that looked like mini fries. Their iced matcha green tea was actually really good. Parking can be kind of cramped; the service was good. They’re known for their fresh coconuts and oranges. I have yet to try their key lime pies but will do the next time I stop in. This is a great spot to get treats for yourself and to buy edible gifts!

  Located inside the big orange building – just west of the Florida Turnpike on Griffin Road in Davie – the Groves Coffee House can be found inside Bob Roths New River Groves. Managed and operated by Andrea, its a locally owned business that is unusually popular among the masses. Ive enjoyed coffee, eaten breakfast and lunch, and ordered many snacks and pastries in years past. Ive just never had time to give them a High 5.At The Groves, you will find a wide variety of organic coffees and teas, along with the traditional favorites of Cuban and standard American drip coffee. Breakfast and lunch are served in the form of sandwiches, salads and wraps, various cookies and cake, along with fruit and several different types of Spanish pastries and meat pies. ProTip: The Caf con Leche has 4 shots of espresso, rather than the standard 3 offered by Starbucks. Thats about 75 additional milligrams of caffeine to get your day started. Standard and Cuban coffee are also on the menu along with different offerings of latte and cappuccino. Almond and coconut milk are options for the dainty not wanting regular milk. When arriving early for breakfast, I typically order the Caf con Leche and Cuban toast. I used to order the breakfast sandwich with egg, bacon and cheese. Its a lot of food and I dont eat much for breakfast, so now its just the Cuban toast. There are over a dozen breakfast items to choose from on the menu.Im not much into salads or wraps, but do love the Medianoche and Pan Con Bistec Cuban sandwich for lunch. Of the two, I prefer the Pan Con Bistec Cuban their own version of a Philly cheesesteak that is packed with meat and cheese, along with shoestring potatoes. Dont be scared away by the $9.00 and change price as this sandwich must be cut into four pieces and shared with a friend or co-worker. There is simply no way to finish the sandwich in one sitting.Spanish pastries and meat pies -whenever I order, I typically take them with coffee for the road.The Groves Coffee House has plenty of parking, an indoor dining and an outdoor picnic area. Restrooms are inside Bob Roths New River Groves. Always a 5-star experience when dining at this locally owned business.Bill LewisFort Lauderdale, Florida

  Great pies & tarts.. I get the key lime pie from here whenever i am in town.
