Went to the store and purchased Figgy Pudding (aka Christmas Cake). Staff was very nice. Many U.K. speciality items, from little Union Jacks to Walkers Cookies (I like the shortbreads in the shape of a Scottie Dog), they have it all.
I took my aunt and my niece here while visiting family in Florida last week.Atmosphere- This is a beautiful room with nicely decorated tables. There is a rack with scarves and hats that are available for anyone wanting to wear them for their afternoon tea. We were very lucky to have this room to ourselves. it felt like it was a private seating just for us.Food- Sandwiches were small in number and filling. I have also never had to request no tuna at any of the numerous places I have had tea before because that has never been served. I happen to hate tuna. I guess this is my fault for not looking into what compromised the sandwiches. ( I like salmon) When I called I asked for high tea which usually is the best tea served. When I got there I found out at this place that was just a step down from the better tea service. ( Again my fault for not being prepared. this in no way reflects this place) Firstly with this tea the whole table is served a plain black tea. I was fine with this but my companions both preferred a fruit tea. When I asked if my table mates could have a different tea the woman was very accommodating. I said we would pay more for it but she refused to charge us. ( Just a lovely lady) Our scones were probably the smallest I have ever been served. They were served cold ( Most tea rooms serve them warm ) but they were delicious. They made you crave another one. Proper clotted cream and a lovely preserve was also served which enhanced their taste. We also received a bowl f strawberries and bananas cut up which was lovely. Desserts included a few cream puffs and Cadbury biscuits from a tin. Not the best choice for an afternoon tea. I dont know if their Royal tea serves this type of pastries but i would be very disappointed if i paid a higher price for the same quality as this.Service- This is where this tea room redeems itself. The English lady who served us was just as lovely as could be. She went out of her way to find a tea to suit my niece and aunt which was really very generous.Impression- If I ever go back there ( only because I live in Canada) I would do more research into what tea I would be getting. I did not like the quality of the whole tea ( sandwiches, desserts and choice of tea) I had. Iwould hope the Royal tea would offer much better selections.

Jubilee high tea. Enjoyed a lovely relaxing afternoon with friends for my birthday, the menu was delicious, so many different things to try but especially loved the smoked salmon with cream cheese and the scones were to die for just reminded me of the ones back home, a big thank you to the lovely ladies where nothing seemed too much trouble, will definitely be back 🙂
Not what I asked for. Why bother deciding on a menu if the staff just throws whatever they felt like making on the table? They dropped off some sandwiches and ran to the back. Such a disappointment. They are completely overpriced for the level of food and service they provide.
I decided to take a quick look in lets have tea room. After buying some things i booked an afternoon appointment with my son and father of child. We sat down.. No menu nothing…big mistake. My son is six years old.. So the lady offered us some tea ..we all accepted.. Then she brought out some small sandwhiches ..tea with jelly..this food was not the best. Then at the end dessert…it was a trap for my money. It was 25 dollars per person ..she never mentioned the price . I got my bill 75 dollars.,I was never servedba meal just these cheap snacksand little sandwhiches..wtf. Im so upset definatly left a hole in my wallet.after noon tea at this price ..no food just snacks.
