Hidden away gem. Tucked away in a small office complex, Mazzola’s West is quiet restaurant that provides decent food at competitive price. Take-out specials are rarely offered and they do not provide delivery. I usually order take-out but when I eat on premises, the overall service is good./s/ William E. Used to be great…… Have been going to this restaurant since 1994 when it was on Taft street.When they moved I continued to go to the Taft street location now known as Mario,s. excellent food there. Recently I went to Mazzolas West to have dinner and was very disappointed with the food as well as the service. To my dismay the food has become mediocre. It took us two hours to have dinner, the service was not wonderful, I had to get up and ask a bus boy to find our waitress so we could get the check and leave….I will continue to go to my little place on Taft Street, the former Mazzolas who’s food is still as good as always.
Real feel. Real italian pizzaria/restaurant hybrid feel to it. clean, fresh, not too noisy, modestly priced. good fresh baked garlic rolls. i had the veal francese and my girlfriend had the manicotti and they were both excellent.i would go back, and definitely recommend at least trying it.
