Best pizza I can find in Davie. They have great dough, sauce, and they load on the toppings on perfectly. I haven’t had any of their dishes so I can’t comment on them. I have order dozens of times in the past couple of years without a problem. I have to guess all the negative reviews are some of the many pizza/Italian restaurant competitors in the area.
Gone down hill. Awful service and food. Owner has terrible attitude! Stuffed shells were spoiled, the baked ziti sauce was highly acidic, cheese pizza had no tomato sauce (wtf), and the pasta fagioli was completely tasteless. They didn’t get anything right. Rude waitress and staff. Restaurant is a disaster. A far cry from the real DiSalvo’s in Hollywood, FL.12 Jan, 2014Gone down hill. Awful service and food. Going down hill. Lots of attitude!!
Not the same. I used to love this place as kid but things have changed. I ordered pasta with red sauce with no cheese. Well, the dish came and there was melted cheese throughout the dish. O.K. lets try this again. Second time around there was no cheese. There was something waiting at the bottom of the now empty plate. A piece of chicken. Now, these things may seem inconsequential but I am not allowed to eat cheese or chicken. Pasta with red sauce is usually my safe bet when I have to go out to dinner but not at DiSalvos. Hey DiSalvos! You might want to wash the pans out between dish preparations. No reason to have the remnants from one dish in another.
Won’t go back. I used to eat at Disalvo’s on a weekly basis for over twenty years when I lived in Pembroke Pines and Cooper City. I now live on West Davie and don’t get over there that often, maybe once every couple of months. I went there tonight with seven other people. The food was ok, the service was fair at best, the value was terrible. The service was extremely slow though they were not really busy. We ordered three meals, one large pizza, one sub, some sides, and a kid’s meal. The waitress brought us six garlic rolls midway through our salads. We asked for more rolls twice. Both times it took forever to get there. And we were charged $2.00 for each order of six. Bad move, bad value. Goodbye Disalvo’s, you won’t see us again!
Bad experience. We are extremely dissapointed in the Davie Disalvos. We usally go to the Emerald Hills Disalvos, which is family friendly with a great staff. Just tried the Davie location, the waitress was so rude.This is not a family friendly place and it does need to be cleaned up! They should start with their staff.
Yumm!!!. Just ordered a pizza and it was delicious!!!!! Moe and the gang are phenomenal, caring and make a great pizza. We stopped going for a while and decided to stop in recently and met Moe and his wife. We were thrilled to see the decor slightly different, cleaner and a whole new attitude in a place we’ve been going to for 20plus years! Moe knows pizza!
