A Truly Wonderful Restaurant. Shockingly, there is a truly wonderful restaurant in Daytona Beach. If you drive past all of the chain restaurants and corner stores, you just might find the Cellar, but I’m not sure I want you to. It is rather small and I like a particular table. The ingredients are fresh and the food is wonderfully prepared. The service rivals most other fine dining restaurants. It is not pretentious, just genuinely good. The fish is prepared perfectly. The pasta is homemade- something of a rare event these days. If you want to experience truly authentic Italian food, then a visit to the Cellar will fulfill your expectations.
Dynamite Dinner. We have enjoyed The Cellar for years and decided to write a review on our November visit. We did not have reservations and they were very busy. Still, we were seated and served promptly. Service and food are almost always excellent and this time it was great. We enjoyed a nice bottle of wine and apps. My veal chop special was cooked perfectly. Only tip and slight concern that I can offer is that my special meal seemed slightly out of line pricewise versus other items on the menu. Sometimes I think it’s tacky to ask how much the special costs. I usually assume it’s going to be about 10% higher than a comparable item on the menu. This one was a lot more than that, so I think they should tell you when it’s substantially higher.We love the restaurant and will be back many more times. I wish they still had rabbit on the menu!
Very good. We are from St. Andrews in Scotland and were in Daytona for one Saturday night and managed a last minute Saturday night booking . The food was only superseded by the service . Nice surroundings , everything says quality . This is a fine dinning establishment but they were also happy to accommodate the needs of our five year old ( child portion , ice cream and chocolate sauce ! ) . Highly recommend .
Always good. I wish the dress code was more relaxed. I like to wear shorts in the summer. I would go there all the time if I could wear them there too. Stay away from the veal, not very good.
Disappointed. A dark musty basement with no windows. Located in a fringe neighborhood with a lot of homeless street people wandering about in the poorly lit streets. The food was a real disappointment in quality,flavor and presentation. Attentive service was the sole redeeming element in an overall disappointing dining experience. Clientele appears to be many old friends of owners who enjoy meals on business account. You can do a lot better in Daytona Beach.
I really enjoyed my dining experience. Great place if you want to have a great night.
Amazing!. The food was unbelievable! The service was excellent! We can’t believe that we had never heard of this place. It will become a regular place to visit. Even though it is very pricey the food was worth every penny. Can’t wait to go back!
