3 dining, nobody happy with what they received. Ordered a country fried steak with mashed and applesauce. Waitress brings my steak and tells me it will be another 8 minutes for the mashed potatoes… but she didn’t want my steak to get cold ( that was nice of her) so, I guess I’ll enjoy my bowl of mashed potatoes all by it’s self. My friends onion rings, you could strike a match on them. Not coming back. Been to many of these, this one is the worst!
Why does every one love this place?. Sure the look and feel is very country, good ol days type…. I have fun looking at the retro candy and toys in the shop. The food is very well priced! $40 including tax for 4 people. My mother liked her chicken and dumplings, my husband didn’t care for his burger, my pulled bbq pork was aight. The mac and cheese i ordered was dissapointing, tasted like my schools cafeteria food 🙁 Biscuits were ordinary, for real melt in your moth southern biscuits I go to KFC. The hush puppies were the highlight of the meal with them being ok. And dissapointed once again by a salty, tasteless cornbread..
Love the chicken n dumplings.
Love To Hate/Hate To Love. I don’t know what it is about this place but I love to go in here especially around the holidays. It feels so homey and comforting, however the food is basically tv dinner quality, yet somehow I can’t manage to get enough as odd as it is! The buttermilk fried shrimp platter is always my favorite. They give you a large portion of fried shrimp and 3 sides of your choice for only $9. And on Saturdays, I had their Homestyle Chicken & Rice and it was to die for!! I guess its because I love comfort foods maybe??? Like I said the food quality is basically 4 out of 10 stars but if you want some sloppy, greasy, good comfort food in a pinch this is the place!
