Plantation location worth a visit!. The Plantation location is our new family fave! New York style deli sammies with mile-high thinly sliced meats, fresh bakery breads (including pump-rye swirl YUM!), bagel chips and Dr Browns sodas in the case. Matzo Ball soup wasn’t bad but the chopped salads are INCREDIBLE! Fabulously generous portions with a fun and ber-healthy selection of greens, veggies, proteins and toppings. A fantastic value for your wallet and your body! There are half-sandwich & soup choices but a salad (instead of soup) option would be nice, too. The dining area is kept spotlessly clean, music is not too loud for easy conversing (thank you!), and the staff is attentive and friendly. A local coupon for the grand opening was not accepted, despite no printed expiration date and our visit 3 weeks after they opened, but the manager (who was very nice) honored a smaller discount at least. We were the only people there on a weekday late afternoon. Hopefully they can stay in business because the area needs a good deli! They’re in the old Albertsons center (Publix now), behind Carrabas…not great visibility but definitely worth seeking out! Oh and of course the pickles – yum yum yum! Regular or half-sours and they are DElish! 🙂
Throw Back. This was a regular stop way back in the 80’s when I lived here…the first time. I haven’t been here in over 22 years, yes the counter placement had changed but the aroma when you walked in was just as I remembered. The sandwich’s were just as tasty and piled just as high as they were 22 years ago. If you’re looking for a nice traditional deli…give it a try. fricksworld.blogspot.com
Oh yeah… that corned beef was rock solid good. Huge sandwich for 8 bucks….but the pickle tasted like it was stored in a homeless guys pocket. Keep the pickle…give me da Sammich! I’ll be back!
Shocking!!!!. Had you going, didn’t I? I should say shockingly good! To be honest, I haven’t had a good corned beef sandwich in quite some time. It’s always a bit dry and bland and always leaves me rather disappointed. But the sandwich I got yesterday was divine! It was nothing crazy – corned beef, rye bread, mustard….but the meat was juicy and tender and nearly 2 inches thick on the bread! And the bread was soft and fresh with a crunchy crust. The neighborhood leaves something to be desired, but with these yummy treats, I doubt anyone will notice.
Very Rude. Ate here couple times 2009,the food was ok,i asked if they made the meatballs fresh and the girl gave me the dirtiest look and said yes, then went into the frig and got them out of a plastic bag, frozen!Clearly they were not made fresh.. So i gave them another chance,on my next visit next i ordered tuna sub, chicken soup and asked for a small empty bowl to give to someone to taste the soup and again was giving a dirty look! Tuna was like any other sub shop. Tried one more time,on my third and last visit got a sub and some soup, was going to ask for some napkins and before i could ask the onwer says,YEAH I KNOW YOU WANT A EMPY BOWL ! When i left they stared me down and called me a very bad name, they still stared my down even when i was out of the store and walking down the sidewalk ! After only being nice to these people i would never go back !
Awesome food! The best ruben I’ve ever had as well as the subs. Def a fav for me and a pickle lover will appreciate there pickles its a must try
The sandwiches are good. Pickles are so-so. I prefer the taste of jarred pickles over their underbrined pickles. The Rachel could definitely be split by two people. It’s massive. I’ll come back.
