To a great find! People who come and talk to others all night, share life get higher and share their sushi finds is a 10 by any Washingtonian and Californian’s standards!! It’s clean, fresh, the sushi chefs aim to please. Portions are enormous and if you can dream it – scallop sushi special/candy cane roll whatever – they don’t get insulted they ask if it’s good! That’s customer care and service. There are plenty of crap sushi places in south Florida but this isn’t one of them. When a Japanese businessman walks into a sushi place with a gal from the PNW on her recommendation and they surprise him with true home prepared sushi by Art, cut and freshness not on the menu – don’t come back if you never knew quality because this is for true sushi lovers of all things positive. And if u find it slow as small as it is it’s because they are paying respect to customers so grab a sake and sit tight it’s worth it! Domo Arrigato

AH-MAZING. Sumo Japanese Restaurant is hands down, THE best sushi I’ve ever had. I’ve had sushi all around the world, this one tops them all. The chef/ owner is amazing and brings creativity and flavor to each dish. The sauces are all homemade, and the fish is always fresh. I can’t express enough how much I love this food!
Excellent! Chef Rudy is very accommodating and excellent. I will be eating here twice daily for the next five days.

WOW!. Size does NOT matter! This tiny hole in the wall place has the best sushi ive ever had. It was awesome… and the prices you cant beat for the quality or food. Ive had sushi all over florida. this is one of the best.
