Finally … we made it!. I really like this place … its a one room shack, hidden on a downtown side street … You really have to look for it … if you ain’t from around here! We found it on a side jaunt on our way to a twirling competition in Gainesville.The daughter said her slaw dogs were great … my son loved his burger, and I enjoyed my meal too! We got ice cold drinks out of the stand up cooler and our meal was complete! You know its good when the kids clamour to detour on the way home for more slaw dogs! Sorry, we got in too late, and it t’ain’t open on Sundays!The service was great, the locals gracious, and the whole visit a treat! We will be back! It’s a bit of a detour off I-10, but well worth the effort. Make time to read the history, it’s one of the oldest businesses in the Florida Panhandle, and one of the few surviving original hotdog stands in the country.

Very cool little place that’s been around since 1947. Still using the original grill. All sorts of good hot dogs and burgers. Surprisingly had one of the best grilled chicken club sandwiches ever. Even make gyros. Genuinely feiendly staff Definitely worth driving a few miles out of your way to eat here.
