My husband and I love this place! When I was little belly busters was my dad’s favorite sandwhich shop, but for a few years it really went down hill. I’m pleased to report that under new owners Belly Busters is back! The famous steak and cheese sandwhich is wonderful! Get it all the way 🙂
NOT THE SAME !!!. I grew up in DeLand and on my visits looked forward to the famous Steak and Cheese… Last 12/10 I was so disappointed. So Not the same…Want the old place back !!!!!
On the fence – not good, not bad. It just isn’t the same. While it is a great place to get a sandwich, I hardly go out of my way anymore. When the new owner took over, prices skyrocketed and quality plummeted. My husband and I used to make it a point to go there at least once a week. We would even pick them up for friends that moved to Palm Coast as a special treat. Not any more. The sandwiches are still yummy, but nothing like before. I have only eaten there 2 times this year and its already October. I understand their empty parking lot. It is really sad that this has happened to such an iconic DeLand restaurant.
The belly bomb is one of the best sandwiches I have ever tasted and totally worth the price. When my parents come in town from Iowa. Belly busters is the first place they want to eat.
Over priced. Since the new owner has taken over the prices are outrageous! I guess he knew he had a good thing and could charge anything for it. It seems that a lot of other locals feel the same way, every time that I drive by the parking lot is empty. Don’t get me wrong the Phillies are wonderful, if you can afford them!
I would call it belly busters because the food is so terrible your stomach will implode. The comedy is good, but I will definately not go back to get anything to eat.
