I have eaten in some of the finest restaurants in Mexico. De La Vega ranks high among them.
This is a place to check out! I’m vegan and gluten free and my boyfriend will eat anything. It was just perfect for us. He was in love with the empanadas saying he’ll come back just for the empanadas. I had the hibiscus tacos and it was to die for!! It’s not like anything I’ve had before. I will definitely be returning! (If you are gluten free they label everything to make it easier)
A little pricier then I expected. Had the tortilla soup which was bland. Service was great and the resturant is pretty inside though.
De La Vega is a must! Always drive by and finally went in. The prices are great and the cuisine is phenomenal! We are coming back for sure!!!
Always Excellent. My wife and I make the drive out to De La Vega occasionally from Daytona Beach, and it is always well worth it. The food is top-notch, the service is great, and it is reasonably priced. Its surprising that food of this quality is hiding away in DeLand, as this restaurant would be booming in a city like Daytona Beach (where the restaurants are severely lacking). We both highly recommend this restaurant!

Great Find. I read a review on this restaurant today and woke the wife up and told her we were going on an adventure for lunch. We were not disappointed. Right in the center of Deland sits this little gem of a Mexican Restaurant. The waitress was very attentive and gave us her favorites.Service was timely and food was excellent. Very different Mexican Cuisine and worth the drive from Orlando if you are looking for an adventurious road trip one Saturday for lunch! Oh yeah..don’t forget to stop into the Candy Store next door for dessert…It was yummy!
