Fabulous Restaurant!!!. When I come to visit my daughter at Stetson, we come here. Great food, nice & friendly atmosphere, awesome ice tea, and the potions are good. The price is very reasonable. It’s nice to have a mom and pop feel when you come here. The restaurant is very clean and the parking is a nice size! So glad to you are here!!

Just all right,,. I wasn’t very wowed by this place, the wait staff the few times I’ve been here has been unfriendly to border line rude, the food is average except for the pancakes I must give a higher rating to. The establishment is small and they only take cash, don’t expect a country welcome or country style meal in this small less than cozy country style place, the last time i graced this little shop of horrors with my presence the first three selections I ordered off the menu they did not even have or the owner did not bring or purchase certain ingredients or he took to the other location the waitress would explain to me without any remorse, sorrow or apology, and for all the locals who go on and on about this place ask them how long it’s been since they’ve been here because I have a feeling it’s been a while and the service including the dis service the owner is doing to his whole establishment has gotten much worse. Do you self a favor and take my advice, don’t waste your time with Doug & Lil’s Potato Patch Restaurant!

The pancake batter is homemade – A big plus. Here is another place I have been wanting to try based on all the positive reviews.I chose to sit at the counter. When you do so, you really expect to be greeted quickly and asked if you want a cup of coffee while you decide what you want for breakfast..That did not happen. But it was not the waitstaff’s fault..They were too busy taking time consuming take out orders over the phone while the owner was just standing there. Why?Once I was waited on, I asked if their highly touted corned beef hash was homemade. I appreciated the honesty of my waitress when she said no, it was not. Now for many of you that may be just fine, but for $8.00, I expected to try a homemade version. So, I ordered a short stack of buttermilk pancakes instead hoping to get a homemade version; I did.Two pancakes ($4.50) were huge. They were light and pretty good..Great for this area actually. Far, far too many places use commercial mixes and their pancakes are also huge, but they are dense and terrible. The Potato Patch’s version was light and you could taste the buttermilk. No, they are not as good as those from The Original Pancake House chain or the former Village Inn chain, but they were good. For those who say what’s the big deal with this place? I’d have to agree. It’s just ok, not cheap and not the kind of place I’d drive out of my way to get to. But, if I was in the area and wanted to have breakfast, I’d surely return.

The good news…. …this restaurant has great food, portions and service, and you pay for it. Typical breakfast is $12 + gratuity. Very satisfying, but had to cut back to special occasions. Don’t think there’s a better breakfast in the county. Wish they had real maple syrup on the menu even if it was an extra charge.

After reading all the good reviews, we decided to give it a shot, and were very pleased with our meal. Had crab omelette, Greek omelette and a blueberry pancake, home-fries and buisuit sides. Large portions, great flavor on all, crab was yummy and generous! Very friendly service! Was not expecting payment method to be cash and personal check only, and luckily went on a rare day we had cash on us. Some reviews talked about high prices, but seemed reasonable to us. Will definitely be back!

Not what I expected. If you are looking for the same-ol-thing, then this is not for you. I wasn’t sure I was going to find a place that served breakfast ‘country style’ but oh what a surprise. With all the others and their portion controlled servings and bland taste, this place blew the top off. Service was very friendly and timely; food portions were huge, hot and very good, no bland, cookie-cutter servings here. Atmosphere was nice and pleasant. a little pricey, but what isn’t these days?I will definitely be back.
