The staff was nice enough, but that does not save the terrible food and drinks. The spinach and artichoke dip was watery and disappointing with only a few pieces of artichoke. The spinach had to have been frozen. The fish tacos were alright at best, but the black beans and rice it came with was awful and bland. It was not worth the price at all. The drinks were even worse. The cocktails are around the price you would expect at this type of restaurant, but were by far the worst drinks I had ever had. I don’t know if they were just using the worst possible alcohol they could find, but my sea breeze tasted like nail polish remover with a splash of juice. I tried a rum runner after, figuring it might be better. It wasn’t in the least. I should have taken the man storming out when I got there as a sign to turn around and go somewhere else, but I had been wanting to try the place out for a while. Lesson learnt.
The only positive about this visit was the food we received was correct as ordered and the people were nice enough, but that will only get you so far when it takes almost 40 minutes before the food comes out for 3 people and I had to go wandering around to find ketchup and silverware after our request was either ignored or forgotten. The food itself was technically correct as ordered, but the hamburger was rubbery, and the fries along with the other hot dishes ordered were room temperature bordering on cold. It took three requests just to get the check, one of those being when I got up to find someone. And the first guy I asked to get the check (not the person who ended up bringing it) stopped me as we were walking out to make sure we paid. Maybe he could see the frustration on my face, but I get the feeling he thought we were trying to skip out on the bill which was a little insulting. Never going back.
