Fantastic meal. I hadn’t been to Won Lee’s since 35 yrs ago. My husband isn’t an Asian food fan. He really liked it. He ordered beef something, my daughter ordered shrimp lo mein, and I ordered sweet and sour shrimp. The bill was $25.90 you can’t beat that.It was all wonderful. We’re going to be regular customers
Favorite Chinese restaurant of all time! My parents took me as a kid, I ate here while attending university, and I recruited some of my family to travel out of their way to eat here. Classic decor and quality food!
This is an old throw back in time, decor, and prices which can all be a good thing. Appt chicken wings with honey garlic are delish as is an old favorite, egg foo young. Food is pretty good, and service is usually spot on
Odd. The food here was very peculiar. It was like a cross between the traditional Chinese food I have had, and the Americanized Chinese food that most places sell. The combination leaves a lot to be desired, some things just don’t mix well. The only thing that I did enjoy was the crab rangoon.
Nasty Chinese Food. Lets start with the order – Lunch General Tso’s with an egg roll. The chicken lacked the chicken consistency and was not fried as crispy like I would expect. The sauce was extremely thick. The egg roll was not cripsy either, more like it had been sitting in a bath of luke warm oil. I gave away my lunch to a co-worker who will apparantly eat anything. I will not be returning.
Best Chinese Food Around!. We actually picked up our Christmas Dinner here on Christmas Eve. We had the Pork Fried Rice, Beef Lo Mein, BBQ Beef, Krab Rangoon, S&S Chicken, Boneless Ribs, Egg Rolls and Egg Foo Young. (And 4doz fortune cookies!)I have to say that of all of the Chinese Restaurants I have been to since I moved here from Massachusetts in ’91, this one takes the fortune cookie! Everything tasted just like it should. Nothing was dry or overdone – not over sauced or over salted. Marinated just right. The gentleman who took our order was as pleasant as could be, offering every bit of advise on how to reheat the food for the next day so it would be its best. He explained that they are the only place left who makes the food authentically the way it is done in New York. They even gave us an entire bag of sauces and soy sauce to make sure we had enough.I found the price quite comparable to the other Chinese places around here. I live in Deltona, but I will be sure to make the trek past downtown Deland from now on to get food worth eating. The Boneless Ribs were my favorite, next to the Pork Fried Rice. These ribs you will not find in any other place… guaranteed. We ate one order on our way home! Please make it a point to give this place a try if you haven’t already. They have been here since I moved here and we used to go all of the time when we first came. It is just as good as ever!Thank you Won Lee’s for making our Christmas Dinner scrumptious!
Disgusting. The worst chinese I have every had. They use slimy dark meat chicken, Yuck FU!
