Another great evening at Banboo Fire. The monk fish perfect; the basa just divine and the curry goat a blast. The friendly atmosphere and the delicious food makes this must for Delray Bch visitors.02 Mar, 2013We enjoyed another evening at the Bamboo Fire Cafe with our friends Peter, Harriet and Fern. The meatballs and coconut shrimp were scrumptious. The tostones and plantains continue to delight. Ask for the jerked pork and curried vegetables or if you prefer, order the basa, a steamed fish and vegetable dish. Order the rum cake desert. In fact, you might want to start with it, and then order it again after you finish dinner.10 Mar, 2012This is delightful find introduced to us by our friends Peter and Harriet who raved about it. The Caribbean flavors waft through the air as you approach this small–off-the-beaten track eatery. The jerk meatballs, the tostones, the jerk chicken and the curried veggies were just scrumptious, but the finest accolades go to the basa and grilled shrimp! Try this place. You won’t be disappointed!

Some difficulties. As much as this place has potential there are some big problems…waiting two and a half hours for your food is not acceptable…and for a party of six! The next time the food was reheated….and not that hot. Their conch salad is excellent and they really do try hard.
