Very Disappointed. I would go to Big Al’s if I were in the area it was very close to Gino’s in Philly. The past two times the steak was over cooked and very small. Two Steak Sandwichs cost over $20.00. The quality was poor, the portions were very small. I hate to trash the place but it is what it is!!!
Enticing locations for a quick bite but expectations get squashed fast.
As good as it gets. I usually go to the palm beach gardens location, but i found myself in delray beach today and tried this big als, different atmosphere, you eat outside, a great philly feel, but the food was spot on, everything was perfect and the staff was great! you don’t get better than this!
My sandwich had several huge chunks of fat in it.
Not a bad cheesesteak. I’ve had Pat’s, Geno’s, Jim’s and many of the other famous Philly cheesesteaks and Big Al is pretty darn close. It’s as close to being at 9th and Passyunk as you’re going to get in South Florida.
I ate there twice and won’t go back.. After we got our food and sat down at the sidewalk tables on the east side. The two employees came out of the side door and started smoking within 8 feet of where we were eating. The meat in the sandwich was overcooked too.
Late Night Spot. They claim they are the same owners as Vito’s in Philly. How true that is I am not sure. But what I do know is they make very good cheesesteaks. Late night on the ave, couple of drinks, and you want to grabd a bite, go to Big Al’s! Cheesesteak with cheese wiz and onions. Overpriced, but Big Al is smart he knows you will spend the money!
