Dare I say the best restaurant in Delray Beach! Amazing atmosphere, off the beaten path, and excellently brilliant menu. Classic meets modern with a touch of brilliance. This place hits on all levels. I can’t say enough, great service and unbelievable drink selection. We started with multiple small plates and finished with the short ribs. In classic French flavor portions were small yet fulfilling. Like most places in Delray the place is noisy but deal with it. If you don’t go to this place you are missing out.
Wow! Best place my wife and I have been in Delray. Ambiance and service is exceptional! The tuna poke and swordfish are two of the best fish dishes I have ever had. The wife had the scallops which were also excellent. Just a wonderful dining experience all around.
Affordable gourmet. This place has a great staff and atmosphere and their food does not fall behind. I had the Chilean Sea Bass and it was cooked to perfection. Shout out to the chef! miamiculinarytours.com
Omg simply amazing … Love love love the ambient noise … Staff awesome .. Love that they have opportunity to sample cuisine so they know the product … Come here more than often … Always thrilled with menu choices …
Great Night. Heard about Brule from my foody friends, so my wife and I had to try it. Went for dinner Saturday night and was so upset with myself that I haven’t been here before. What a treat it was for us when the chef came out of the open kitchen and served us a little treat of seared scallops over what I think was an incredible cauliflower puree. We started with a bunch of tapas (foie gras, corn dusted oysters…)and then had the best filet I’ve had in years. The wine list is phenomenal, but I was pulled in by the very unique craft cocktails. I love bourbon, so I had to try the Blackberry Bullet…wow what an awesome drink (the fresh basil just worked so well in the mix). The waitress was great. The place was so cool and playful (think lower village meets Tribecca). Just an awesome night. Thank you Brule for making a date night with my wife a night to remember.
Dinner for 3 Huge disappointment. Glowing reviews enticed me to bring friends to Brul for a birthday celebration in what I anticipated would be a French restaurant experience. Having dined at many wonderful French restaurants who managed to blend a warm, romantic atmosphere with superlative food, entering into this nouveau California type open kitchen space was unexpected. Waitresses in dungarees, loud hip hop music, and boisterous, drunken laughter from the bar intruding on conversation was not de rigueur for a fine dining experience. An inexperienced waitress was not prepared with the specials menu or more apt to find excuses than provide service. All wait staff hovering around the kitchen, was more interested in sampling the tastings offered by the chef than catering to the clientele. The food was good but unrecognizable by the title, and though adequate for me, minuscule leaving my guests hungry. This was a disappointment rather than a fine dining experience. The atmosphere was more reminiscent of a burger joint despite the wine rack and nouvelle cuisine. Way overpriced for the offering. I will never go there again and wonder if the wait staff is writing the reviews.
The Perfect Evening.. Brule brings back the New York feel of wining, dining and romance on a plate and in a glass. It’s not often anymore that you can feel comfortable going to any restaurant, especially in Palm Beach county, and hope for truly great food with cared for, thought-out ingredients, multi-featured wines and cocktails, and at the same time find you’re sitting next to someone who is genuinely there for the same reasons you are – to enjoy a peaceful, quality dining experience. Every time I go to Brule (which has been for nearly 3 years now) – I am treated more like a friend than a ‘customer’. The bartenders, manager, owners, chefs and hostesses always treat me with respect – whether I order a solo glass of wine at the bar or bring in a party of 6 or more. And consistently, I leave Brule feeling ‘full’ – full in satisfaction from the plate crafted in the kitchen, the drink prepared and recommended to me from behind the bar and the interaction from the Brule goers around me. If you’re expecting Texan, or Midwestern, ‘diner’ size portions – there are many dining halls surrounding you where you can satisfy that gluttony. At Brule, the emphasis is on the quality of food prepared that you’re putting into your body. And if you just listen to your stomach, you will hear it’s satiated. Do not let ‘custom’ supersede ‘propriety’. Cheers to the place that makes me feel like ‘everyone knows my name’ – thank you for being here and let’s toast to many more years together.
