Happy happy great place!. This has become our home away from home go to family friendly Italian place. The food and the service are spectacular if you like real not fake or fad food. The place is real not corporate. Pepe is a great restaurant! I can’t imagine 2nd Ave without it!
If you are in the market for meatballs, go to Subway.
The BEST eggplant parm I have had..ever. Chocolate cake is phenomenal. This place is a diamond off the Delray Strip. Wow.
Little Italy meets Delray Beach! Wonderful trattoria with a heated outdoor patio area complete with live music on Saturday evenings.Chef Pepe creates delicious meals using family recipes for a meal you won’t forget. The service and staff are very attentive. This restaurant is a nice addition to the Pineapple Grove area~ and off (but not far from) the hype of Atlantic Avenue.
Casa de Pepe really makes you think that you a HUGE inconvenience I’d you’d like to eat at their restaurant and use a pre-paid living social voucher to pay for your meal. They also tried to make NE look like a liar when my reservation was not found, actually, it was found but on the wrong date, so when I called then back to change the date, clearly someone had forgotten to move my reservation ahead a week. Hence the reason the owner pretty much implied that I had lied when my reservation was not on the correct date. Menu was limited with voucher, the told you everything you could not order. I flet it would have been easier to just make extra menus for us second class citizens where the food is cheap an off the floor. Food was nothing better than OK, but would not go back based on how we were treated for following all of their strict and inconvienent rules just for a date with my husband
Had dinner at Pepe’s with two friends. Our waiter was on the ball, the glasses remained filled, he knew the menu and what to recommend. Got the caprese salad and wow the mozerrella was succulent. The snapper francese was moist with nice touches of artichoke heart and sun dried tomatoes. One of my other friends ordered the standard fair of veal parmagian – veal was soft, marinara light and tangy, but the pasta was slightly overcooked. Had creme brulee – pepe said that he has his own little farm at his house in Plantation and the eggs are as organic as they come. The brulee custard had nicely ground vanilla bean. Overall a nice little indoor/outdoor Italian family restaraunt nearby Atlantic ave w/out the crowd that you have on the ave.
