Love going here, wait staff is really good for the most part and I haven’t had a bad meal yet. Remember, it’s a bar, so don’t go there only for the food, go there to have fun. They have live music and tons of tvs. I had Lamb Sliders, juicy with feta cheese. The signature drinks are 10 bucks, which seemed a lil high, but the atmosphere made up for it. To me it reminds me of beach bars in SoCal.
Great experience and service. We ordered food and the server notified us that our ticket was misplaced after waiting 15 minutes. She apologized and immediately let us know that our dinner would be free as compensation for the wait. Great service is rarely found these days. When the food arrived, it was delicious and mouth watering. In the long run, it was worth the wait. Try the old smokey burger, very tasty and filling.
Deeeelicious!. I finally, FINALLY tried this location. I sampled 4 items: Bacon Mac’n’cheese – delicious.I don’t remember the name of it, but its in the appetizers, it’s grilled chicken on a stick with peanut sauce and some tropical flavor with unique looking and tasting cole slaw. It was absolutely delicious. a good addition, with them French’s onion crunchies.Beer guzzling or w/e burger (was supposed to be spicy) it was a delicious burger. excellent beef. Though, could have used a spicy kick to it. I have a very high tolerance for spicy. jalepenos were fine, but it needed some serious habanero stuff. I think next time I’ll request that.and the pulled pork sandwich. excellent. absolutely excellent. messy, thick, I thought it spicier than my burger.I would absolutely recommend this place. great atmosphere (weather certainly played a key role). Real nice folks work here too. We were server by Rachel. It’s been a long time since I’ve had an attractive waiter/waitress at a restaurant and such an honest and heart warming smile, plus she let us in on some of her favorites which are next to try though I am determined to attack the wings on my next run.If you are comparing which is better, this place or a place like Bru’s room on the other side of the tracks, go to Johnnie Brown’s instead if you’ve never been.
Great bar food and drink specials. Love the live music and, Cutty is a great bartender! Highly recommend this favorite of mine.
Waste of Money. The drinks were weak, the service was terrible and the food made my Fiancee sick. Ordered the lamb sliders, they were dry and cold. The fish dip tasted like ground up sardines with mayonnaise. The drinks were a complete waste of money. Don’t waster your time, that place is a has been.
Good burgers. Surprisingly fresh, bountiful salads. Fun place to watch the Avenue go by.
