I’ve had great experiences at this location and the one on Federal in Ft Lauderdale. High quality food and good service. Parking is a bit tight, but they also offer valet.
Typical Mexican Fare. The first thing that you notice when you enter La Bamba is that it is a very plain, old looking restaurant. There is no atmosphere to speak of. It is extremely casual, very bright (for a restaurant), and probably appears dirtier than it really is.The food is low and Mexican fare that is prepared well, served quickly, and usually as expected. They have a pretty big menu and everything’s made of lots of gooey cheese.I like it, but beware that this is an unrefined, crude restaurant. It looks like it’s been around since 1975 and never renovated. Anyone living in Delray long enough knows that that is not true. It’s probably less than 10 years old. it just looks like a bad 1975 left over.Did I mention that I do like the food? Please understand that I am not dissing this because the food is good. That being said, I also like Taco Bell. This is one step above Taco Bell but three steps below a high-end Mexican restaurant.
We enjoyed La Bamba! Ordered the chicken fajitas and chimichangas. Very kid friendly! Would definitely come back!
I am a salsa snob and this ace has the best. Everything is good but I always get fajitas with steak chicken and shrimp!
Great Food!. We have been going to La Bamba’s for years and have never had a bad meal. Their tilapia special is exceptional.
Excellent and great value. We love La Bamba — it’s rare to find prices this moderate in South Florida at an excellent restaurant. The only issue we’ve had is that I almost always order the Tuna Melt, which is absolutely delicious and I have leftovers for two more meals thereafter! But on three different occasions the waitress has said I can’t order it without tomatoes–but each time, they’ve indeed been able to give me the Tuna Melt without tomatoes. Other than that, the service is usually very fast and they’re always very friendly, and the restaurant has a good atmosphere.
Great and affordable lunch time menu. Love the home made chips and salsa. This place is usually pretty busy and it’s no wonder because they have great food and pretty good margaritas.
