Horrible, Horrible, placeMinimum security on the hookah lounge side? The clientele frequenting the establishment have no respect for neighboring businesses & residences. My vehicle was broken into Sunday night from one or more of those in the crowds hanging outside. Windows smashed, tire slashed, goods stolen from inside the vehicle. Gangs of people hanging around outside 12am-4am, extremely loud music and zero regard for other people’s property. If you go, be sure to have your own security as these groups outnumber the police!!
We called at 6:30 requesting a 7:30 reservation and were told 8pm instead. We arrive to a near empty restaurant after this phone call. Caesar salad was not something I’d order again. Filet was great but au gratin potatoes with it were a thumbs down. Scallops were also great. Service was extremely SLOW!!!
Chef Made the Evening Delightful. Just had an amazing dining experience at Breathe on Atlantic Ave in Delray. Exec. Chef Marcel Ivan made the experience one to be remembered for a long time to come. I highly recommend! Portabello mushroom app; Beet salad to die for; braised short ribs and red snapper in beurre blanc sauce! Top it off with a yummy bottle of wine and you have a wonderful evening! The personal attention and recommendations of the chef made the experience one that I won’t soon forget!
The food, service and chef were AMAZING!!!!!! I found this restaurant on yelp and decided to give it a try and I am GLAD I DID!!!!! I enjoyed my appetizer, entree and dessert. The executive chef came out and introduced himself and not only was his food amazing but so was he…!!!!
Great food – but needs lots of service training. We dine out a lot, and wanted to try this new rest. Hookahs – really? that basically attracts kids, and how many kids are going to pay $16 a cocktail? …..Interior was beautiful and very sophisticated, but bartender had no skills, bar was not properly stocked, and MTV gangster rap playing on 3 big screens – hardly setting the mood for a high-end experience – again Kid’s stuff – . Major mixed messages going on there! There seemed to be no management anywhere (read: Adults), a bad sign….. a couple good looking young girls up front, who also had no proper restaurant skills & most likely had never visited a great restaurant -nice enough, but pretty useless…..But, the FOOD WAS TERRIFIC! Chef was friendly and hands on – portions were very good and menu was inspired. The servers meant well, but again untrained – had to continually flag down someone for water, s & p, napkin, etc….. Dining room, unlike the bar, was peaceful, comfortable and a great place to eat. Understand the owner is a ‘businessman’ , obviously not a restauranteur…..A place with such great potential, but in desperate need of professional management & training for everyone (EXCEPT the chef) or it will die on the vine in Delray – a town with lots of competition for well excecuted fine dining experience….
WAY OVER PRICED ! AND MY FRIENDS WILL NOT COME BACK ..
Not worth the money and stuff is rude!. I’m going out alot but never had such a negative experience and that’s why i write my first review.i went there with my husband and and two friends for some drinks on the outdoor patio last saturday.we had already reservations for another restaurant that evening but we wanted to check this new place out.the martinis go there for $ 16.after we paid i was going with my friend to the restroom. since we were there the first time we asked the two ladies behind the check in bar for directions. the older one asked us if we are paying guests. i was stunned. she than asked me why i give her a look! i was stunned. so i asked her why she gives me a look. so she said that the bathrooms are only for dine in guests only! i was stunned. i told her that we paid a lot of money for our drinks, if that’s not enough. so than she was obnoxious enough to point out that we just had two drinks and one water and she admitted with that statement that she knew we were guests! i told her that she should know that we had 3 drinks and a water and that this is worth a review. i asked for her name and she said she’s mike and the owner!i think her behavior was nonsense or it just makes sense if she wants this restaurant to fail.anyhow no guest should be treated like this – that’s a no go! and we were planing on going there for food another evening but not after this!
