I couldnt believe how I was treated here. My friend and I arrived an hour earlier than our reservation to have a drink and appetizer at the bar. First my friends sushi came missing 1 of 3 ingredients. Then when I came back from the bathroom I slipped on a puddle of water and fell hard on the tile floor. I handled it gracefully without a scene even though my back hurt. At the exact time of our reservation I went to the hostess desk and waited a couple minutes but no one came. The restaurant was only full so I came back after 15 min. only to be told by the hostess that she had cancelled my reservation b/c I wasnt there. There were 3 tables for 2 available but she informed me she was saving those for walk-ins and I would have to wait another 45 minutes. Are you serious?? I calmly reminded her I came over at the reservation time and she was not there. She lied to my face and said shed been there all night and refused to give us a table. Finally she told me she’d only give me a table in the bar area not the main dining room. I said that’s fine, Im not picky. Well by the time my friend sat down she had eaten a full plate of salad and wasnt hungry for steak. I ordered a steak, we shared 2 ala carte sides, and a sushi and spent $110. When it was time to pay the bill I showed them a Groupon for only $40 (like 1/3 of what I’d spent) and was told I couldnt use it b/c of a technicality… my friend hadnt eaten her dinner at the table she ate at the bar waiting for a table. Then when I said this to the manager, she tried to accuse me of not paying for my sushi we ate at the bar! I was floored. I showed her my receipt and she didnt even apologize! I might be a younger looking girl, but I dine out all the time and have never been treated so disrespectfully. This is after they knew I fell.. even worse! Most places would have comped us for that alone – not refused to give us our table, refused to take our Groupon and wrongfully accuse us of not paying the bar bill. What a nightmare!
