1/31/14 dinner. We had dinner there last night with 4 appetizers and 4 entrees; the appetizers were satisfactory, albeit with slow service; the four entrees were all sub par; my rack of lamb (which I had ordered medium rare) was medium well done and so tough that I only ate a few bites and would have rejected it but for the slow service and time frame involved; the gardens are a delight to see, and if you were to go there for the sight and not the dining experience, it might be worth the effort, but I would never eat there (or refer a friend) again.

Thumbs down. Had good meals there before but lately it’s been terrible. I know the Chef left but that’s no excuse for the front of the house, everyone seems to be running around with no direction. Food choices have changed for the worse. Seems to have the since that it has been taken over. Maybe management or something. The food used to be great and our deserts used to be great also now they taste frozen out of a box. Love the garden but wouldn’t waste my money.

Sundy House is awesome. I took my wife here for her birthday the weekend of August 24-25 and we had a great time. We were in room 11 which had a nice view. The brunch was also incredible. My wife wants to return as soon as possible. Thanks Sundy House for your hospitality and great service. Outstanding!

Off its game. I’ve eaten some great meals here. It almost seems like it was taken over. The Southern Salad has Asian chile sauce that is misdirection and the grilled peaches were like rocks. The tomato soup is tepid. The sweet chile brussel sprouts are good as an appetizer but they and the salad taste the same. I have had some amazing meals here, but this was a major FAIL

Disappointed. I recently had lunch at the Sundy House with friends, and all of us were very disappointed with the mediocre food and service. The menu was very limited and all of our dishes were just ok. The server seemed a little annoyed with us, After we had paid our different checks,, she came to the table to ask where was the tip for the check for $91.00. I politely showed her in the folder, the cash tip which she had neglected to pick up. Haven’t seen that kind of behavior in a restaurant for a long time.

J Escoffier local Chef. Most of my meals there were well seasoned and the temps were right. I feel that many of the past chefs would hold back creatively, because of the point that many feel this is a destination restaurant and the need to feed the masses. I feel that there prices are far more reasonable than most destination restaurants. There has been some changes among the leadership as of late. I here there is a new chef with a lot to offer Delray patrons. Lets hope the new chef wont hold back, I want to see some farm to table, seasonal produce, modern plate designs and flavorful dishes like some of the past chefs have come up with but the problem always seemed to be keeping it consistent. The ambiance you have to love, you want a good date get a good table in the gardens on a cool night.

Come on! This a great location. The ambiance is fantastic. The menu is a show piece for the chef and his staff. We enjoyed the wild boar entree and the small plates of tuna and loin of pork. The wait staff was especially solicitous. Thank you DiGiorgo! This is a restaurant for special occasions and the garden atmosphere adds a tropical feeling to the whole experience. LOVE IT!
