Great night from allowing us to up the reservation from 2 to 6 to honoring it on time and outside for New Year’s Eve. Food was equally consistent from the garlic bread to the veal parm to the carrot cake. Everyone enjoyed their meals and Karen was fantastic! Definitely recommend this restaurant.
Fun place for cocktails and eats. Flatbread pizza and calamari were great. Very busy establishment. Very friendly waitstaff. Definitely worth a stop when your visiting DelRay!
We were seated without menus. After waiting 15 minutes I finally went to the hostess stand and took them myself. Our appetizers came out in Less than 5 minutes. They were cold. When I complained the waiter said he would get us new ones. At the same time I ordered a bottle of wine. He took the appetizers back to the kitchen. We waited about 10-15 minutes and the main courses came out before the appetizers. Then the appetizers followed right after that. He had not replaced them simply microwaved them. They were only luke warm. The waiter left everything on the table and simply apologized. I then saw him go to take the order of a large table. He had not yet delivered the wine. So we we’re halfway through our food before he delivered the wine. The main courses were really not good. The appetizers were a little better but also not very good. On top of it all the food was relatively expensive. The bread was great as the only bright spot. All in all it was a horrible dining experience. I used to love Vic and angelos but based on a similar experience a few Years ago I have stayed away. needless to say I wont be back.
Bad experience. I have been to this establishment in Delray many times and never did i have an experience like this last one.We were sited outside and waited over 15 mins before our waitress came by with menu and water. We ordered wine and same thing, another long 10 mins before she came back to us. We ordered some calamari, never saw the girl for another 20 mins, we still at that point never got a chance to order our dinner yet.Our dinner was served, i didn’t have any silverware to eat so i waited thinking she will be back to check on our dinner… Wishful thinking! after being tired of waiting, i get up and grabed 2 sets from another table. My prime rib ends up being well done instead of medium, it is part for the course, but i am ok with that, it happens! Again, one would think the girl would come by the table to check if everything was ok, but no, i waited another 10 mins until i had to knock at the window to flag someone over from the inside, and ask for a manager to come to the table. The table next to us was also at this time complaining that no one had come to take their order and after being tired of waiting, they left.Another prime rib was sent out with the correct temperature, but no horseradish on the plate this time, i was just not going to say anything because i was really done by that point…We eat, the girl asked us if we want some coffee, we declined, she brought the check. I asked her, doesn’t the prime rib comes with a salad (i never had) and a desert?! She apologized saying that it was a new menu and she forgot. I asked for the desert to take out and left.I emailed vic angelo to let them know of our experience but i never heard back from their management.Oh well…
Music too loud, ordered the caprese was really good, however very disappointed in the fresh pasta, tasted store bought. Will not come back.
I’m totally disappointed. I’ve had better Italian food out of a can. Terrible service and a total lack of consideration for their patrons. The pizza is ok, I had lobster risotto which was decent at best but to be honest it’s as close to Olive Garden as it gets. I’m sorry but the 66% who liked this place either never had properly cooked food or they lost their taste buds.
Totally Disappointing. The atmosphere was pleasant, we were seated outside on a Wednesday in the early evening. The street had a festive air and we were anticipating a tasty Italian dinner. The waitress didn’t appear to have the ability to smile and seemed to not want to be there at all. There wasn’t a single smile to be seen from any of the wait staff. We soon found out why… I ordered the Lasagna and my friend ordered the Chicken Piccata. The bread that was served was overloaded with butter, olive oil and garlic salt the Lasagna had been flipped upside down on the plate to cover-up the over cooked hard uneatable layer. It was served with a glop of cold ricotta then topped with a lump of parmesan. The Chicken Piccata was just as bad. The chicken had been killed twice, first when it was once a chicken then again beaten to death by the chef. It was less than a 1/4” thick and resembled a desert island with burnt edges. I won’t go back. There are way too many choices in Delray to give this restaurant a second chance.
