I visited AJ’s in Destin while I was there on Tuesday night. The services was good and waitress brought us our drinks promptly. Went back on Wednesday night and we sat at the table waiting for a waitress for 30 minutes. I finally went to the bar to get a drink. The bartender ignored me for another 5 minutes when she finally looked my way I said excuse me. She replied your excused and walked away. I left the bar and found the waitress (same one as Tuesday night) talking to a table. I tapped her on the shoulder and said can I please order a drink. She said I was just about to come over to your table (with an attitude). When our drinks finally came out I told her that I have never done this before because I work in the industry but I was leaving no tip. Sat back down with our drinks and 2 minutes later the bouncer came over to tell us we had to leave. We were not making a scene just drinking our drinks and talking. He refused to give us a reason for kicking us out and also told me their was no manager on that I could talk to. This was absolutely the worst experience I have ever had at a bar/restaurant.
The only thing we liked was how fast we got a table. The place was packed with people. The tables were crowded in. Our drinks were not strong for what we paid for them. The appetizers were ok, but then when our main dishes came out ever one of our 9 party table had cold food. It had taken so long to get out to the table we were so hungry we just ate it. Highly disappointed and will not be eating here again. Asked some locals after and they said no one likes it locally and it’s a tourist trap
