This place is f&@$?ing amazingly good.Better than Chipoltle, Moes SW, or any national chain.
BLACKENED FISH TACO’S!. Great Great blackened fish taco’s. I have only tried the Airstream on the harbor (not the restaurant in FWB), but it is a cool little place on the water. I am not sure if I can go back and order anything else but we will see. Highly recommend stopping by! (They have limited hours during the off season. They are open late in the week through the evenings closed early in the week.)
I came to Destin on vacation and was very pleased with Burrito del Sol. The staff were all extremely friendly and the service was great! The food was even better – delicious fish tacos bursting with flavor!!
As a local, I know that the people of Emerald Coast love this place, but I have to admit that I am less than impressed.Having grown up in South Florida and spending a great deal of time in San Diego, I know what a good burrito is. On my last trip to burrito del sol, I paid over $10 for three amberjack tacos with a laughably small amount of fish. They were served to me in store bought tortillas that hadn’t even been warmed. (Think Taco Bell) It was topped off with sub-par, dry, powdery pre-shredded cheese. Gross! The tiny portion of fish was cooked nicely with good flavor. the pineapple salsa was a barely-there after thought. They were basically cabbage tacos on cold tortillas. My dining partner got the chicken burrito, BBQ style. If you have an entire ‘cooking style’ devoted to BBQ, you could at least make your own instead of slathering it in the high-fructose syrup abomination out of a bottle.Without a Chipotle, or another suitable independent burrito company, I want to love this place, but I can’t. If you have such a simplistic menu, the least you could do would be to make that tiny menu dynamite and use fresh, local ingredients, not just the Sysco food truck. I really hope that these guys have stepped up their game by the time I make another trip there.
Delicious. Tried Burrito Del Sol in the new location in Ft. Walton Beach. The food is very tasty and they have a ton of options for vegetarians. The only con about the restaurant is the atmosphere doesn’t seem that friendly. No greetings or salutations. They give the option of tipping at the beginning of the meal, when you pay and i tipped 20%. Based on the friendliness and attitude of the employees, I overtipped. Will definitely eat here again because the food is great however customer service needs to improve to make it a great dining experience.
Baja baaabyyy!. A breath of fresh air & a mouth full of happiness! Burrito del Sol reminds me of the good ole Destin–a locally-owned & operated business slightly tucked away oasis with awesome music, a beautiful view, and of course delicious, fresh, and affordable food. The staff is great & obviously put a lot of love into what they do which means they do it right! The airstream may be small but it keeps great vibes flowin!!
A-maz-ing!!!! Fish tacos unbelievable! Little kick but perfect!! Pork burrito fabulous!! Huge thanks to Brandon from Dockside!!!! We’ll be back 🙂
