After reading the reviews and seeing this place very busy through the week while we were staying in Miramar, we decided to eat here on our last night. HUGE MISTAKE! Bland taste, very small portions and expensive for what you get! Compared to other very close restaurants, I’m surprised it’s still in business. Won’t go back. Ever.

Shocked anyone would give this place a positive rating. The food is absolutely terrible and terribly overpriced. So over seasoned and over cooked. The place is outdated and not all that clean. The service is awful as well. Our waitress smelled of smoke and was really terrible. We knew this would probably be the outcome, but we had to go due to it being a corporate outing and was atleast paid for. I ordered some $35 grouper with crab on top, and the only reason I ate 5 bites of it was to not seem ungrateful to those paying. The view was nice, but that is the only thing I can say nicely about it. To be fair, my dad’s best friend owns 20-30 restaurants and has been in thebusiness for 40 years. He says he sees it all of the time where places that over cook and over season everything get great reviews from tons of loyal customers. He says there is just a huge percentage of the population that really don’t know what a properly cooked piece of snapper or filet was if you smacked them in the mouth with it. I have to agree with him, as I know tons of people that love places like this. I will say that if you like places like this, go to Back Porch. It is atleasta 5/10 as opposed to this place.
A classic high quality seafood restaurant that never disappoints. Their stuffed grouper is the best I have ever had. Excellent gumbo. Very professional staff. Thank goodness for this restaurant!
