This restaurant was just a typical Fudpuckers, so I don’t understand the three-star rating. Went for dinner, had about a 15 minute wait. Service was fast, burgers were properly cooked and juicy, and the bathrooms were clean.

This place has the worst food on the island. I became violently ill after eating here resulting in spending a whole day in bed not being able to function. I filed a formal complaint with the department of health and reached out to the management team at the restaurant. Rich the GM brushed off the concern and said it would be passed on to the insurance company only to not hear from them. I wasted one of 4 days of my expensive vacation due to choosing to eat at this place. Do yourself a favor and don’t take a chance and choose somewhere with a better health record.

2 stars for the food. You can eat almost anywhere else for better, fresher seafood. I will say though that kids love the live alligators and the arcade is nice. Just eat elsewhere.

This place was good, but not good enough! Now I will say the shrimp was awesome! But, I didn’t really the like the chicken breast that well. But the manager and the people there were friendly. And my boys loved the alligators. I will suggest this place for people who like seafood!

Their service was great. The food was mediocre at best. The place is cool to learn about the gators and to take a picture with a gator but the food is the biggest negative.

Don’t bother. Beyond tourist trap. Middle of November and we waited 30 minutes for a table while there were 8 tables available when I went to the restroom while waiting. Will never go back

Fudpuckers is a different kind of restaurant- a place known more for its live alligators and entertainment than its food and drink. This large restaurant, with its lower- level pond and colorful exterior, gets your attention and convinces you to take a closer look.Kids will love Fudpuckers most of all and will likely want to feed the gators as part of the experience. They give you a cane pole that has a special clasp on the end to hold the food. You then lower it close to the alligators mouths and wait for one to take a bite. Its safe, fun, and both kids and parents will find it unique and memorable. For dining, Fudpuckers has an assorted menu that centers on American food, seafood, and even some alligator food dishes. The kids have a separate menu from which to order. I went with the Ultimate Chicken Pucker, a sandwich topped with crispy fried onions, bacon, and other toppings. I selected macaroni and cheese and coleslaw for sides. I found my meal quite good and satisfying and the kids liked theirs as well. Others in my dining party were a little less satisfied with the seafood they ordered, but no one complained loudly.Once your meal is finished, the fun at Fudpuckers continues with singing and dancing. My kids recognized the pop tunes they played and sang along while dancing with hula hoops. They liked everything about the experience and left feeling content. We did have one personal issue with my youngest- she lost her retainer but our table had already been cleared. We told the management and I was very impressed at the all- out effort they showed, digging through the trash dumpsters and trash bags, looking for the lost dental device. They were not successful, but the effort was still much appreciated.Destin, Florida is growing in popularity as a tourist destination and the entertainment is expanding with it. Fudpuckers is an interesting restaurant and unlike any other restaurant you have visited. Where else can you feed live alligators, play arcade games, and partake in a hula hoop dance contest? Its one of a kind and worth a stop on your next trip to the Florida panhandle. greatbeernow.com
