We went on a Sunday night (Sunday night seafood!! Gasp!!!) and the food was great. Started off with oysters that were huge and fresh and delicious. I went with the Dungeness special and the wife got the all you can eat shrimp. That cocktail sauce was OUTSTANDING. Really the best I can remember…cocktail sauce is never something you remember, but I’m gonna remember that stuff. Kids split a salad and it was so good we ordered a second. Homemade dressing makes all the difference. Crab was good, fresh and snapped easily. Waitress really knew her stuff, got me the perfect local beer for my tastes and the right cocktail for my wife. The Manager was running food (always a good sign) and even came back to check on us. Thanks O’Quig’s for a great first night out in Destin.
I discovered this place with my wife while on vacation. Normally we stay around Panama City Beach so we are less familiar with this area. First off, the food is amazing. Though this is a sports bar, the seafood was great. I am a land-lubber and had the French Dip. I’ve had many a French Dip in my life and this is definitely one of the best. I would rate the quality of the food higher than any place on the beach in Panama City Beach. The atmosphere is fairly typical of a sports bar but it was very clean and well decorated with tvs at each table. I detract from my review because there was some confusion about what waitress was waiting on us. One took our drink order and we waited patiently for about 10 minutes before the manager came and checked on us. He immediately had the waitress bring us our drinks and there were no problems after the. They both sincerely apologized again later and took 10% off our order…an appreciated gesture. Summed up…if you have a crowd with mixed appetites and are around the area you should definitely check this place out. Good selection, atmosphere and management.
