Strip mall eatery in Crystal Beach with some promise. Not a dig at all but struck me as a great family alternative with upgraded food and ambience to Olive Garden. We had reservations for an early Friday night meal and were seated promptly at a four top between two four tops of what appeared to be Destin local older crowd. One guy kept getting up and going between tables which was a bit annoying. Then as the meal went on one gent behind me talked so loud it was really annoying.It was really hot in the space for out meal and had to be near 80 inside. It got a tad better as we progressed. Our server, A Ukrainian gent I believe was very efficient. We got our comp garlic knots using check in to go with bread and very garlicky dipping oil. Both good but the use of large garlic amounts does not necessarily improve the food and scream Italian.Entrees, lasagna, shrimp angel hair and pappardelle sausage with porcini cream. The 9 yr old devoured a whole lasagna to the servers surprise. The other two dishes were above average as was the house salad ordered. Entrees for us in $18-$22 range and ala carte.Peroni draft, Gott Chard and Shirley Temple.Too full for dessert. Maybe next time. For what it is I go with 3.5 stars. Should be a good spot for a while unless they falter. Next trip will try wood fired pizza.$111 for three folks, no app or dessert.
