My favorite Italian restaurant along with Il Forno. I had the Sea Bass with pasta, my wife had the Lobster Ravioli and my two daughters had the Chicken parmegian.The service was excellent, from the manager (or owner), the Italian waiter that helped and the other staff helping. The presentation and taste was very good. The food was served on time. I walked out of there very happy and looking forward in going back and trying another plate or Sea Bass again. I have visited a lot of Italian restaurants in Miami, Miami Beach and Doral and consider myself a connoisseur of Italiand food because I love it and I was somewhat impress with my visit here.
So far is my favorite restaurant in Doral, so you need to believe me, because I lived in Doral for 5 years and Divieto was my lunch place for every weekend in more than 2 years (since then when opened in late 2012).Sandwich are killers, Burgers excellent Cobb salad is unbelievable, great flavor (pls try it)Mascarpone pasta great choiceRisotto another one good alternativeOn the deserts side for my the creme brle is the best ever that I taste in a restaurant, you can see the black points from the vanilla vaina. WonderfulI really love this place and recommend go there for lunch or dinner.
Food is good, service is poor. I have eaten at Divieto about twice a month since it opened and it started out as an excellent restaurant, sadly it has gone downhill. It used to be a place where your water glass never seem to empty no matter how much you drank, the waiters knew your salad came first and place cold plates for it. They never brought your hot dish until you were finished with the appetizer and salad. Plus their prices were reasonable. Since I have visited so often i got to know the staff and noticed many have left. Now the food is expensive and the service is poor. I gave them 2 opportunities but same: servers got the orders confused, salad and hot foods would come at the same time before even finishing the appetizer and bills were placed on the table as though there was a fire so you better eat in a hurry. Food is still good but be prepared for the service and the price tag. Also, don’t bother with the house wine, it is a bit acidic.
Our quarterly lunch crew met there for lunch and had a very good experience. My lunch was spaghetti and meatballs, being Italian I judge the meatballs right away, tasty but a bit hard,on the other hand the spaghetti was cooked perfectly which is a huge plus since everyone else over cooks and under salts it. The meat sauce was also good, so a plus for my lunch. The lentil soup was very good, and the chicken parmigiana was good as well! The spinach salad was a bit small for an entree size salad but good. Overall I will return to the restaurant when we all meet again in Doral…would recommend this place for a decent meal and prices are moderate. Continue the good work.
Extremely DOG FRIENDLY!!! One of the only restaurant and place that allows dogs! Food is delicious!
Excellent family style dinning establishment. The portions are plentiful, the service is on point, and hands down best of all, the food is delectable. When in Doral, bring the family, friends or someone special for a great meal and evening. I proud to finally have a great dinning experience in Miami. Great job!
You will absolutely love this restaurant!!!The service was first rate!! All the staff worked together very well and provided a level of service that is hard to find!The food was top quality and much better than expected!!Priced better than fair considering the value offered!!
