A Real Gem. When Amber and I were in Hallandale visiting Amber’s sister, she insisted we all go for Venezuelan cuisine nearby at El Arepazo.I had never had Venezuelan food before so I was wondering what I’d order. Not to fear since I have a guilty pleasure for cheese and their appetizers are a cheese lover’s delight. We all shared several appies. The kids went for the cheese sticks. I also have a weakness for soup and on this night the soup de jour was Lentil-my fave. Amber ordered the chick pea soup. The lentil soup was right up there with any I’ve ever had. Amber seemed to enjoy hers too.For entrees we both went with the grilled chicken. Cooked perfectly not dry and the portion was very generous. Even though it was a weeknight, the place was fairly busy and the service very friendly and attentive. It’s also a great place to take kids, the restaurant menu and atmosphere is child friendly.
