Watin time. The staff that is in charge of setting you are much unconsidered of the people that are waiting to be seated. I have been to that restaurant a couple of times and there food is good and the ambient is also really good but that do not respect their clients. I arrive at the restaurant at 8:00 and was told that the waiting time was 45 minutes I had to wait 1 hour and 30 minutes that the waiting time is not the bad part because that happens in restaurant. Their biggest problem is that they told me 50 minutes into the waiting time that the table was being ready and it was a lie which they told me again teen minutes later. After waiting for 1 hours and 5 minutes they told me that I was the next person to be seated and five minutes later they sat another group in from of my face and they were waiting for 45 minutes. I was told that they had a reservation; however I was there when they ask for the waiting time and they did not have reservation so they lie to my face again. It was my birthday and I pick the restaurant because I like it, but my family was not very happy and instead of having fun I had to argue with them for about one hour to be seated. If you want a good food they are good but you better be ready to be disrespected and lie to get it.

Fresh sushi. I love my JB tempura rolls so I had one along with a Black Dragon Roll. The fish was fresh and the rolls were presented wonderfully. Don’t forget to order a side of spicy mayo! miamiculinarytours.com

Great Food and Service. Have been here 4 times in the last month. Have had Chicken Teriyaki, and didn’t really like it that much although other members of my family absolutely love it. When we returned we had sushi. The sushi was exceptional, better than Sushi Maki and Sushi Joe’s by far. Had the Marlin, Dancing Eel, Birthday Roll, & Lobster Roll and everything was Great. We went today with the rest of the family and they had shrimp with walnuts and the Calamari, delicious. Our server was Luis, fantastic service. We also tried the Red Bean ice cream, it was really good. Would definitely recommend this place for good food and nice environment.
Excellent Japanese Restaurant!!. I’ve been going to Umami for about 1 year now and every time I go or every friend or family member that I take loves it. They have great sushi, appetizers and chicken fried rice. I have not tried the Teppanyaki but it’ll be my next thing to try. They also have friendly staff. Great place and atmosphere! Highly recommended.
Great Food, Great Place. The food is delicious, the price is very good, this place has everything you want from a Japanese restaurant second only to the ones in NYC. Must try the Sake and Shrimp Rolls.
