Enjoyed a delicious 5-course dinner at the smartly appointed Bascetti’s Italian Grill. Dinner began with an app of spiced olives/garlic/artichoke, served w greens and nicely contrasting garlic crisps. This was followed by a very rich and delicious she-crab bisque, accompanied by a fresh half-loaf of Italian bread and butter. An excellent Caesar salad was next, very flavorful and garnished w croutons and anchovies. For entre, spouse ordered roast pork tenderloin, cooked beautifully to medium rare, and served over wonderful tasting mashed-potatoes and accompanied by grilled asparagus. My entre was delectably seasoned eggplant saltimbocca, served over al-dente pappardelle in a scrumptious tomato ragu. This was all enjoyed with a bottle of Benvolio Pinot Grigio. Portions are generous; we brought home our desserts (bread pudding), as well as portions of our Caesar salads and the eggplant saltimbocca. Our server, Laura, was very efficient and accommodating and her friendly demeanor added to our enjoyment of the evening.

The Best! Get a great meal, way better than a chain restaurant! Spend the extra 3$ it’s so worth it for the taste. Been there many times after a hard days work. The best service, feel like family , and the absolutlely most amazingly tasting food. Do not judge it because it’s at the end of a strip mall. All the overhead must be because of the salary for the chef. Whom ever he is(I’ve seen him poke his head out a few times to ask how the food is). Also, I’ve never seen a menu illuminate when you open it up, this will knock your socks off. Better than any chain restaurant by fg far! Small, but fancy, then anything goes as well. Very comfortable feeling, your tummy will think so too.

The Worst. I have to be honest because I am Italian and from The Bronx New York so, I went to this Italian restaurant because my wife said her friend liked it. I told her that my family never goes to Italian restaurants because they are mostly all horrible. However my family likes Carrabbas. For a chain it’s great. Anyway dinner went like this. They brought bread-white bread that looked like italian bread with no taste. Then we were served bruschetta but it was made from the same or worse kind of white bread and hard and when I say hard I mean as opposed to toasted. Then we got a salad with caeser dressing and the dressing had an off taste-bad. Then we were served Veal Saltimbocca but I think it was an italian hungry man dinner from Publix. What can I say but I will have to FORGET ABOUDIT.

Bascetti’s not worth the money. When it first opened, Bascetti’s was a relaxed upscale restaurant with excellent food and service. A few month later, a new cook took over and the food quality slipped. We took a break for a year or so and decided to give it another try a few weeks ago and today and found it overpriced with average food and service. We won’t be back. For a decent steak, try sea sea ryders or bonefish and experience much better food at the same cost.

Excellent bar ambience. Lackluster food that needs to be on par with the nice ambience of the bar and dining room. The staff is friendly and helpful, but we’re waiting for better flavors from the kitchen. Until then, enjoy a cocktail and their cozy, neighborhood bar.Chef Bambu and La Bambina
