Terrible experience. I usually condone a mistake or two, but this was bad. I received someone else’s meal, one of our dishes never came, and our queso dip was queso soup. At least I know it wasn’t just me, the guests next to me were experiencing similar problems with their meal. Olay!!
Great experience. The Dunedin Carmelita’s has a great, positive atmosphere. I enjoyed great, smiling service and had great food. They all work so hard and they really deserve some props. I will definitely be back.
Not even close to Carmilita’s in Largo..too bad..wont last. Lunch Party of 2..had to wait for them to bus a table. Took almost 10 minutes. No problem. Busy was a good sign, right. As we were walking in to are table I saw more than one table that needed to be bussed. Sat down ordered a margarita, it was delicous, couple sodas. The food was good but they are missing a smoothness with there servers. Our server apologized but he had 5 tables, and he missed are cheese dip, which he blamed on ‘they didn’t bring you yor dip’. Food took too long to get to the table. I heard him apologies to 2 other tables telling them how many tables he had also. He is in the wrong business and should be removed. The guacamole was not good. It didnt taste like any I ever had. It was sweet..strange. refried beans not good either..no taste. Shrimp tacos where excellent. Steak in the flaunts was excellent too…but I didnt like it fried. My error..should have got steak taco…waited forever for another club soda so was eating without anything to drink..then he brought me an ice water..wrong. I’m sad. I was hoping for Largo’cArmalitas…they are awesome. It wont last unless they provide a better service for dining. Perhaps its more of a good drinking place….
Be sure to specify your order or the waitress will decide for you. I saw this new mex restaurant in my neighborhood, went in for lunch. Place seemed very sterile, no personality, no cool hot sauces on the table, not even salt and pepper on the tables. I ordered my lunch, which took a little longer than a lunch should, it was just ok, never got any chips/salsa till after food arrived, and to top it all off she charged me the dinner price, I was there at noon! Lunchtime! So, they got me for all they could, and that’s all they’ll get, I’ll keep going to Azteca or Juan’s for my mex food in Dunedin
Can I have a plate. Second visit. Food is pricey. If I could change one thing about both visits… I would just like a side plate when we shared appetizers. Other than that not bad
