Party of four, 5:30 Friday night. The place was PACKED, better to be there by 5:00 PM at the latest (Hours of Happiness end at 6:00: drinks & flatbreads 50%).Service, Holly, was cordial & patient as if she weren’t up to her limits in customers. We tried three different flatbreads, i.e. chicken pesto (very, very tasty), pulled pork, & Thai chicken (all delicious) & the House special of fried cod & auger-cut potatoes, excellent.Guinness pints at $3.00, wines @ $4.00, total bill for two flatbreads & three beers came to less than $21 tax included. OMG, We’ll be back…soon.2nd visit: ordered the Fish n’ Chips, Friday night special…STAY AWAY FROM THE FISH…I love Cod but honestly WAY TOO MUCH BREADING (non-enhancing/blah).
OVERALL OPINION: This is a great choice for a casuallunch or dinner with friends or family. Its loud and filled with the sounds happy people make. OBSERVATIONS. The menus is eclectic causal. From appies, small plates, entrees to burgers, sandwiches and salads. The preparations bounce and twist around the norms. But it all turns out great. This lunch my wife had the seared tuna (served cold?) salad. I had the mussels and Thai beef (shaved marinated ribeye) salad. Theseared tuna served coldcaught my wifeby surprise and she asked the waitress why. The manager came over immediately and explained the logicthen added that they would be happy to change the preparation to suit her. My wife ate the salad as prepared and thoroughly enjoy it. I loved my lunch and told my wife this would be my go to lunch from now on. She just smiled.
Visited on a day where they advertise 16oz tall boys for $3. Only to find out a few were $3 and the rest are normal price and not included in happy hour prices. Strange! Anyway, we ordered the sliced brisket sandwiches with a side. Special of the day at $9. They were tasty but a little dry. Buns were great as was the side of veggies. The menu looks really good and will try the hot Nashville chicken next visit.
