Love this place. One of my favorite places to hang out and have a pint. It’s a great place to listen to live Irish music, especially when Noel is on stage. Definitely stop by and have a pint or two.
Delicious! Great atmosphere. Easily the best reuben I’ve ever eaten.
A True Pub. Stepping into Flanagans is like taking a brief vacation to Dublin. This privately-owned truly authentic Irish pub is a fun place for a few drinks or a complete meal. The food is outstanding, with many typical Irish and British dishes that are prepared to perfection, along with some tasty American fare. Thankfully the beers and ales are served cold, and wine is also available. Live entertainment performs most nights, and typically does an excellent job of getting the crowd in a jovial mood.
Even my Brit friends like it!. We were in Dunedin for the craft fair and found ourselves standing outside Flanagan’s right around lunch time. They were packed, but we were able to manage a table for five. (well, actually a table for four that we squeezed an extra chair around.)Just like your local, the place was crowded, noisy and bustling. One might have expected hurried and indifferent service, but everyone was friendly and we enjoyed a pleasant lunch.Pass on the French Onion Soup. This was the only disappointment. Watery broth held a soggy piece of bread covered by a slice of provolone deli cheese. It wasn’t toasted, just laid across the cup and still cold around the edges. But everything else was fine. My steak and cheese sandwich was tender and served with sauted onions and peppers. The crab cake was good and the shrimp fried crispy yet tender. The fish and chips were good and the Irish stew and beef pie were both very good. Steak fries were perfect with their malt vinegar. Bass Ale on tap provided the perfect beverage.
Wow Great Place. Great Guinness, and food (thanks to the owner of the Fox and Hounds in Brandon) alot of fun great crowd
Nice gathering spot. But I woldn’t go for the food. Drinks are reasonable and servers were friendly. WE had a good time here.
Good food, friendly staff! Great entertainment. B
